  • I remember this sketch and never thought I'd see it again. Love

  • link is the track [little red corvette] by prince within its lyrics lies the connection sheer genius their part. by the big train guys.

  • Now thats funny

  • I didn't know who Prince is, I just found him on some page. But I don't get why is he chasing jockeys? Is there some connection with jockeys and Prince like his interest or some song...or is that just at random? Thnx

  • i don't get this sketch

  • does anyone else remember the playstaion ads that completely ripped off this sketch?

  • How very monthy python.

  • Genius!

  • They're not running! *STILL* they're not running! Even as he is within eyesight and gaining on them! RUN JOCKEYS RUN

  • about 4 feet too tall to be prince

  • @GAGLY04 probably a little too intellectually developed for you. do a search for jim davidson, it'll probably be more to your taste...

  • @davidstalker aint got no time for that shit

  • What an idea!

  • I am cracking so hard I have no air left in my lungs

  • thats the best thing I've seen today. Just need to buy some sugarape and today will be complete...

  • @tokyito dan ashcrooooft!

  • Unbelievable :) Run jockeys run!!

  • @nigel101 yes but you're hilarious. post us some of your videos.

  • This sketch was written by Graham Linehan & Arthur Matthews of Father Ted fame...

  • is that really prince?

  • who ever thought of this skit had to be high at the time lol

  • The finishing touch is Chris Morris on the voice over.

  • Sounds like Peter Serafinowicz to me. Could be Morris though.

  • I just saw this clip tonight, hilarious :L

  • It's Jayon

  • Genius

  • those jokeys are too tall. real jockeys wouldnt stand higher than that tall grass

  • Chris Morris is narrating!

  • he is THE legend.

  • ha ha it really looks like prince ha ha

  • i remember watching this when i was 13 and i thought it was he funniest thing i had ever seen. me and my friend were discussing it for ages.

  • HAHAAHAHAHA!!

  • JOCKEYS ! ... something musta spooked em.

  • thats not price hes to tall

  • SILLY!

  • That's just awesome!

  • One of the top 5 comedy sketches of all time...

  • One of the most superbly dotty sketches of all time. Hits the places that observational humour can never reach.

  • its why i love bill bailey

  • that was funny :)

  • My only criticism is that Prince would wear heels for hunting and this guy is in flats

  • this vid always makes me titter!

  • Hehe, Chris Morris narrating there

  • This sketch is so funny! It is very underrated - I hardly ever see it on the telly. I'm so glad to find it on Youtube. I'm definitely putting it on my favourites.

  • Em... does any of you understand the concept of satirical comedy?

Its not a go at prince, its comedy. Just a bit of fun.

    Twats.

  • Absolute modern classic!

  • they are comparing him to a leopard though, that's kind of a compliment

  • I am a huge Prince fan. But I can say LMAO!

  • Don't you think that most of princes problems would be solved if he had a good woman who could fight his battles with him , , I mean he just mentioned in our news paper how he loved bob dylan ,AND HE IS SINGLE , BUT I DON'T THINK HE IS HAPPY ,YEAP HE NEEDS A WOMAN . so I thought he might like the youtube video on BAUER AND BENTLE titled THAT SPECIAL KIND OF GIRL - BOB DYLAN

  • ..............WHAT?!

  • this is SO funny i luv it XD

  • This is one of my all-time favourite sketches! A good parody and so wonderfully absurd.

  • 100

  • I wonder why Prince hasn't pulled a cease-and-desist on this video yet...

  • It doesn't have his music on it. But I would delete this vid if I were compared 2 a wild animal. So t makes sence.

  • yea seriously lol. cease and desist

  • I found myself thinking about this sketch in a queue in the supermarket the other day. I had to ditch my trolley and leave the shop for fear of wetting myself. I don't know why, but this sketch has the ability to make me laugh even when I'm on my own?!!

  • Apparently they had to film from inside a fake elephant to get these shots; It took many days of patience but I think it paid off with these magnificent shots of them in their natural habitat.

  • Directed and Narrated by God himself, Chris Morris!

Probably my fav big train sketch.

I hated it when they ripped it off for those shite adverts

  • Which advert?

  • Dublin here we come but without the mighty lion. Sad but true....

  • So refreshing to see the jockeys and the Artist formerly known as Prince in their natural habitat, and not trapped in a zoo enclosure!

  • Nature is cruel.

  • I've seen this loads of times and I love surreal humour, but I've never found this funny. Although it's well made.

  • I have no idea why this is funny but I am howling!

  • who would have thought of that! Very funny and very clever! Used to like this show when it was shown in Australia a few years ago!

  • i don't even get it...but it really made my laugh :]

  • but there's a video of it right here, silly.

  • you're right! which Discovery Channel series is this from?

what? it's actually a surreal sketch from one of my favourite comedians? silly, silly me indeed...

  • god some people on youtube are fucking stupid :( I was explaining the joke to the people who keep commented saying they don't get it.

I WASN'T giving you a lesson in anti-anthropomorphism in natural history you bloody zombies!

  • I cried with laughter so much. Outstanding sketch.

  • this is classic!

no wonder it was on "when were we funniest"

    :D

  • it makes it funnyer that its "the artist formaly known as prince"

i dont think it would be as funny if it was just "prince"

  • It's the artist FORMERLY known as Prince, not formaly.

  • Yes, but if you think about it, he was once formally known as Prince as well!

  • granted, but that's not what he's saying.

  • I think it rather is.

  • please remember, its a joke

  • i just read this conversation and now my brain has gone numb :[

  • haha love it!

  • They could do another one with Britney lookalikes and a Paparrazzi.

  • i don't know why i am watching this on youtube AND tv at the exact same time, but it's just THAT good. the fact that 'prince' runs like a gazelle only adds to the whole thing!

  • yeh but prince isnt meant to be the gazelle...

  • i know that, i'm just saying his running gracefully like a gazelle makes it funny

  • oh ok yeh

  • Wonderfully surreal and Pythonesque !

  • that made me lol!

  • I don't get the Jockies, if they were underaged spanish girls it would make alot more sense.

  • That wouldn't be funny at all.

  • Lo; but who is the True Lion of the Plains? The Prince or the Jockey? Does not The Prince need the Jockey more than the Jockey needeth The Prince? I think it is indeed so. The Jockey; he triumphs everyday he liveth, for The Prince is ever needful of him. Yet, The Jokey has no need of his princely nemasis and is thus the Master of the Plains. Thus spake The Wise One of the Parched Thickett. Amen.

  • Well said!

  • Random enough to be a true classic:)

  • Woo! =D Me love!

    ~L~

  • woo! me love too! :P

  • Yay =D You love, me love. We love! Haha!

  • ahhh just got the dvd !

  • W00t for bunnies =D Bunbuns are so kute.

  • classic

  • This really makes me laugh, thanks for posting it. could you post the Big Train titles please.

  • That is quality!

  • i think the guy looked like chris morris

  • Chris Morris on voiceover too.

  • chris morris narration. classic

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa lmao

  • random

  • Can anybody upload the Big train titles??

  • Anyway, jockeys are short - that's the whole point.

  • No, it is definitely TAFKAP, it's just that he doesn't have his veil on. 'He won't feed again for two days'.

  • huh ?

  • this is my absolute favorite sketch from Big Train. my god...so going on my myspace page. i think i'm one of three americans that know and love this show.

  • One of my favourite Big Train sketches...thanks for posting it!

  • fucking weird

  • Of course it's not really him! Funny though, even though I don't understand it!!

  • Never heard of it in the states. Does it even exist then? And yes i think that west african looking actor was definitely the egyptian descended prince acting in a low budget english comedy. Have you heard of these countries in the states

  • I think they're talking about the artist formerly known as Prince.. Not really a prince..

  • wait...wait...wait!!...was that really him? I've never head of this show in the States. but was that really Prince acting like a hunter?

  • Never heard of it in the states. Does it even exist then? And yes i think that west african looking actor was definitely the egyptian descended prince acting in a low budget english comedy. Have you heard of these countries in the states

  • i kno thats what i was saying he looked just like him but the only thing is prince is like 5'1 that dude looked tall

  • It was just a lookalike. Strangely though, the real Prince did have an uncredited role in the Cohen brothers' Fargo, as one of two people in a stolen car running away in the snow, I think.

I love this sketch too - and the one with showjumpers and firemen.

  • that's gross!!!!!

  • Classic stuff was 2 Irish guys who wrote all this stuff same guys who did Father Ted 5 stars

  • British Humour - Of course!

  • natural history programmes can be so shocking...but still, its the way of nature. survival of the fittest :)

  • haha prince

  • Ppl with a good sense of humor will love this!

  • too funny! thanks for posting! :)

  • fan-bloody-tastic. It's the voice of the narrator - so calm. How many takes do you think it took of him just cracking up?

  • It's Chris Morris. Hehe, he's a god of deadpan delivery. He also directed this episode of Big Train, as well as being the main host for Brass Eye, The Day Today and all that. Search on Youtube for him :)

  • One of the greatest sketches ever. Thanks for posting!

  • One of the funniest clips ever.

  • LMAO it will be two days before he hunts again

  • I remember there was a Playstation advert that ripped this off. I was so pissed off. >_>
