It's hard to comprehend why anyone could dislike this but that's just the world we live in :P They don't understand spiritual things because they're blind and their hearts are hardened. Praise God our eyes have been opened, let us pray for those who have not yet called on Christ for Salvation that they may come and have their eyes opened and hearts touched.

when i grew up i was very un-sure about Christians and being one. I was Baptised twice, my mothers pastor claimed my baptisim was done wrong and my religion was WRONG. HE "rebaptised" me. I heard people in one breath claim to be "crhistian', Then in the next breath swear and put God and country down. I decided if that was a Christian i wanted nothing to do with it. Now im 24 and relize what a REAL CHRISTIAN is. Thank you Jesus for sending Michelle and showing me Mark lowry and the Gaithers!
As a pastor's kid, I grew up knowing the Gospel. I am somewhat known as an achiever, excelling in music, computer, logical thinking, etc. As I truly experienced God's grace, I know that I am just a sinner saved by grace. If it were not for God's blessings to me, I wouldn't be where I am today. Due to its powerful message, this song ranks as one of my favorites.
Just this past Sunday, I won a badminton tournament, and it was then that the second verse of this song truly put my words into song.

@JamieB717 Jesus" Love is unconditional. There is NOTHING we can do to be saved. It is by the Grace of God and from that we follow what Christ would have us do out of our Love for HIm. There isn't a "follow the rules or you will be cast out" book. There is only GRACE. PRAISE THE LORD
Good song, I agree. But His blood alone will save a sinner "by grace". We dont need to add works to something as amazing as just believing Jesus' blood will cleanse us. Adding anything else to Salvation makes it works oriented, which is unscriptural. Then we can say it was something we did to get us to heaven, and we both know we can do nothing on our own to get to Heaven
I want to thank everyone for all the encouraging thoughts and prayers. It has been a year since I posted my testimony, and praise God things are so much better! @guylacelle all you have to do is ask him for forgiveness as it says in the bible jesus once said "if you deny me in front of the world i will deny you in front of my father at the gates of heaven" all you need is to ask him to make you clean again and to come into your life and find a bible based church and go every sunday

I've been a Christian since 1981. Till today, every time I stand in front of the congregation and chair the worship servce, I realise this fact, Im just ( as in humble, no fanfare, no glory) a sinner (yes I know what my sins are) saved by grace.

There was a time in my life when I felt as though God had forgotten me. I felt as if instead of being inside of the barrel I had fallen through and was viewing the bottom from beneath it. Nothing I tried was successful, marriage failed and things just were not going right...I was up against the wall Lord help I cried ...Then I was reminded that just for me Jesus died on calvary...SO I AM A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE.

I was to the point where I said I cant take it anymore. My family's money situation is in bad shape. As of now, it looks like no one will be receiving christmas presents...I was sitting on my couch last week, loaded 45 in my hand, ready to end it all..Then I started listening to the GVB and Earnie Haase and SSQ, and praise lord it brought me out of my helpless feeling. It brought joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. Then I realized, if I SURRENDER ALL my problems to him, then all is well

There was a time in my life when I felt as though God had forgotten me. I felt as if instead of being inside of the barrel I had fallen through and was viewing the bottom from beneath it. Nothing I tried was successful, marriage failed and things just were not going right...I was up against the wall Lord help I cried ...Then I was reminded that just for me Jesus died on calvary...SO I AM A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE.

I understand Grace, and Mercy. I am the recipient of it.....many times. I have lived my life in sin my entire life. I backslid so many times, to please myself. This may sound a lil rude but The Cathedrals do this so much better. Now I know it's not a competition but The Cathedrals deserve proper recognition since they did this song long before these guys did. Now they're both great groups but The Cathedrals are better in my opinion. :D

Ummm... Guy Penrod is one of my favorite singers of all time because I'm a lead... however, I assure you, that's David hitting that note at the end. Very few have the range he does in the upper octaves.

I was to the point where I said I cant take it anymore. My family's money situation is in bad shape. As of now, it looks like no one will be receiving christmas presents...I was sitting on my couch last week, loaded 45 in my hand, ready to end it all..Then I started listening to the GVB and Earnie Haase and SSQ, and praise lord it brought me out of my helpless feeling. It brought joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. Then I realized, if I SURRENDER ALL my problems to him, then all is well
