@UHtiger to be honest i never watch it because its not big in ireland but from my experience you dont see as many huge hits in rugby league because when your in possession you go looking for contact. so you know its coming and have time to prepare yourself with your opponents having to be a required distance away. your strength conditioned more so to take the hit and make as much ground as possible and when tackling your aim isnt to hit them as hard and knock them over but to push them backwards

Let me start off by confirming that I am a Springbok rugby supporter. The reason why I, and most probably all other rugby fans, prefer rugby over American football is because all of us have played it before as well as the continuation of the game.

Players of both rugby and American football are "tweaked" to perform their best in the corresponding sport.
There is a reason why NFL players use helmets and pads. Without it, half of the team would probably die of broken necks.

Let me start off by confirming that I am a Springbok rugby supporter. The reason why I, and most probably all other rugby fans, prefer rugby over American football is because all of us have played it before as well as the continuation of the game.
You can however NOT compare the two sports. Almost all of those hits on the vid are illegal anyways. NFL players are also known for having brain damage later in their lifes because of the big impacts.
