People are too hard on Dave Evans. Sure he ain't Bon or Brian but I've met him and he's a genuine and nice bloke. The poor bugger must be so sick of reading all the negative stuff people post on the internet about him.
I agree Dave was not good for Acca but he is still part of the history thats why they got rid of him and got the Rock God Bon may he R.I.P and brian holds the candle now but not as good as Bon
could be epic if AC/DC made like VH1 again and made some covers or something Angus could be epic on Carol just a bit remastered... The sound on the video is bad and with Dave Evans sadly... :(
This is actually ac/dc's bassist at the time, Neil smith, singing this one. Dave Evans was a good frontman for ac/dc. He still brings out good hard rock solo albums to this day. Rock on Dave
Well I was there at the Hampton Court. We were a little bit concerned about the lead guitarist we had just been introduced to....Angus freaking Young! We were having a bit of a chuckle, making jokes like, he should be fast asleep or atleast down the road at the local milk bar. Then they started to play....gee what uuummm how..true raw Rock!
Forget about trying to rubbish Dave Evans...I'm telling you he was good and so was the band. You can't judge his vocals or the band with this crap recording.
thats essentially what they were when they first started. i mean theyre set consisted of several stones covers. and they have rhythm section respectable enough to be on par with the stones. this guy V mick however... not so much. but still, wish it was better quality.
I think Malcolm is singing this song. I know Evans was their regular singer then, but I know for a fact Malcolm sang on "Baby Please Don't Go". I hear some similarities in the vocals, but maybe Dave is just singing in a lower voice during this one.
At 00:31 Dave says, "Our star bass player is going to sing this one." So, either Mal was playing bass (which he did do at times early in the band), or this Rob Bailey fellow is singing.
@EarlTheFirst MNal said "Before Bon came w've been a rock'n'roll band with a pop singer, But he was the best singer we found that time. but he had a problem with Angus and his school uniform. Till he kicked him off the stage..." He was really the worst singer of AC/DC, didn't fit the band at all.
this guy is a massive douche bag! his playing down the road from my house tomorrow!! and its my 18th so I tell yah what ill be doing?..BLARING BRIAN AND BON TRACKS ALL NIGHT LONG! haha this guy is a joke!
lol these guys are giving a chance to see dave evans/early acdc why are the bon fans complaining. this is vintage acdc-ness. if you dont like dave evans vocals go play highway to hell/back in black lol. lol. i think its great. he just didnt tear up his vocal chords as much.
This is some niffty shit.
Its always fun to listen to bands in there primitive state.

Thanks to NOEL TAYLOR for leaving his tape recorder running at the back of the room, and for capturing this rare moment in time.

Chuck Berry is NOT the king of Rock’n Roll. He is a Pedophile and a thief the sooner people realize this the better.

This a scary time in AC/DC history, i bet you Mal and Angus still have nightmares about this time.
