  • Saw a production of this in Charlotte, NC in 2006..Loved it.

  • what is this song called?

  • the first song is CHAIYA CHAIYA... it was first produced for a Bollywood movie named DIL SE then it made it to West End in London then Broadway... then made it to Hollywood in INSIDE MAN..

  • what's the name of the lead Raza is dancing with? she's HOTTTTTTTT, this looks aewsome!

  • her name is Ayesha Dharker

  • Thank you, she's wearing contact lenses in this, green ones, or hazel.

  • i had the privilege to see this live and the two live drummers on the top of the stage on both corners were awesome the energy they created was amazing . bombay dreams would be half the fun without them.

  • I saw this as a 10th birthday present on the day that all the Iraq War protests were going on in London. The soundtrack and sights are still etched on my mind and heart.

  • i new i recorgnised her...eastenders!!!!

  • i dunn think anyone can capture essence of bombay dreams or rather bollywood in a stage show. ITs a good attempt but as an indian i do not see bollywood in it. Its mostly rehearsed dance steps.

  • I loved it.. it was the best musical

  • i love it

i forgot how much i loved it

    i'm going again

    with kavs

    i love her

  • It is not released on DVD yet. May now that he has won 2 Oscars.. may be the musical will be made into a movie...

  • wau i love it any copy like dvd full scene . any info abt it please i like to have one ......

  • Yeah, the actor who plays Akaash (Raza Jaffrey) is actually half Pakistani, half English

I've only ever seen him in Spooks, so this is different!

    I like it!

  • I wanna see this sooooo bad!

  • Thanks for posting, it's a good video. I really wanted to go and watch this! Shame no dvd.

  • Just got the original UK album on iTunes ;)

    This is Fantastic!

    The music is Spectacular!! <3

  • why is Raza Jaffrey always awsome at everything he's in?

  • its Zaf from Spooks! and he can sing! His voice when they sing the 'How many Stars' song is so powerful when he sings the part "How many tides have to turn, before you turn my way...."

I really like his voice...and its funny how his accent still comes through, even though usually you don't notice an accent when someone sings really..its nice though

This show looks amazing, and super intense

I want to see it so bad!

  • yay it's Zaf from spooks! and he can sing!

this musical looks intense and just awsome!

wish i'd seen it in its entirety

  • dude,it's zaf from spooks! and he can actually sing! sweet!

this musical looks intense and really awsome

    i wanna see it

  • this is by fr the best broadway musical as theres a western and eastern asian bken in it......AR Rahman iS the mozart of this generation

  • why are they lipsynching? you dont lipsynch in theater.

  • In WestEnd.. thats in UK you can lipsync (I guess, its still has its limitations.. obviously you are not suppose to lipsync that entire musical..) In Bombay Dreams I think they only lipsynced only for Chayya Chayya song...

  • Thanks for posting! I saw this in NY... in which I thought the show was a spectacle - not the greatest piece of theater but I felt it brought back a sense, and awareness of foreign culture back to Broadway since AIDA had closed.

  • hey thnks sooo much! how and whr can i see this now? anyone have da vid? i was so sad to miss out on it....dude...love u man for uploading!

  • Video or DVD is not available.....

  • There IS a DVD out on the making of the musical which is pretty interesting.

  • guys, does anyone know if this musical going back to london?

  • It is from London. And not sure whether its going to be staged again. May be after LOTR is brought down... as ARR's has scored for the LOTR musical as well.

  • I saw this show in London about 4 years ago. It was by far the best musical i have ever seen ( and i have seen a few), i just can't believe the show only lasted for 12 months. I would so mush love to see it again.

  • It was on for 2 years. I must have seen it more then 20 times and never fot tired of it once. My son was in it.

  • I guess it would have more success nowadays.

  • It was written specially for Bombay Dreams musical.

  • Victoria Hall??? You mean Apollo Victoria Theatre!

  • Ooops, sorry ... I don't understand why I typed as Victoria Hall.. umm, just changed it...

  • Its too expensive to go see it here in NYC ;__; been wanting to for yrs

  • You can always write to the producers... to bring it back!

  • believe it or not, the main role akash is not indian..i read also that they got a bad revied in the US.

  • whts wrng wit the grls face did she get botox

  • is it just me or was the broadway version different from the UK? because i got the cd right after i saw the show and some of the songs were different...?

  • Yes, few of the songs are different... but I never heard of the Broadway version.... would love to get hold of the CD.

  • Ummm, even I couldn't remember where I got it from .... and I really didn't expect this much of comment to be posted for this video.. and I have neglected it, totally...

  • my dad played the character JK in this...it was such an amazing musical

  • Glad to have known that....

  • I love The Journey Home! I'm not thrilled with his voice, however. Not that I could do better. And it wasn't that bad!

  • Thats my favourite track.

  • omg! i never got to watch it they stopped showing it since the start of 2005. I wish i had looked really good!

  • Well, you should have.. oh, and I really didn't expect this much of comment to be posted for this video.. and I have neglected it, totally...
