  • LOL. It's sad he was spot on. Clinton didn't create lasting stability, just look at this current mess. So sad Ross dropped out.

  • Oh my goodness!... he was right !!!

  • H Ross Perot

    nader paul kucinich gravel mckinney

    Jesse Ventura

  • Man Perot knew this was coming

  • I curse myself for not being old enough to vote in 92!

  • He was definitely the best candidate that election year. better than the 2 idiots running against him.

  • The national debt is now 12.4 trillion.

The only main tax Perot wanted was a 50 cent gas tax that was going to be re-invested in alternative fuel sources, so we wouldn't be in the position of $3 gas like we have now. 50 cents seems pretty cheap now.

And by the way, I believe he said if we approved NAFTA, we would hear "a giant sucking sound coming from Mexico."

So in other words, he was right about everything, but the media destroyed him to get Clinton elected.

  • @srkeegan

why americans are so concerned with gas prices? (please tell, I am just curious).

In Europe, you can usually buy 1 liter E95 for 1.4$. Diesel costs some 20 c less.

Usual consumption for a car is about 10 liter/100 kilometers.

What's the cost diff. in USA?

  • @EdTheBadass

Gas prices in the US are much lower than in Europe. The difference is that most of Europe has mass transit systems available to them, however outside of large cities the US has little other means of transportation.

  • @thewingeater

Kneel before the might of our Superior Mass transit systems! [lightning]

I also assume you all drive cars that have huge engines, even though you never actually use(or need) those engines or power. Europeans tend to care more about efficiency O_o

  • I agreed with him on trade, the debt, and how to do business. Yet I strongly disagreed with him on taxes where I want an 18% national sales tax to create jobs, the size of government, and a couple other basic stances. Ultimately I feel he would of been a very good president, because he's a born business man and lawyers don't know how to create jobs like he did.

  • That would have been the great thing about having Perot as president, he would have run this country like a business and that's how it needs to be run like but Clinton was a lawyer before politics and his presidency was great while Bush was a businessman in oil and baseball and he turned out to be one of the worst presidents ever.

  • I would have voted for him in 1992 but not 1996.

  • ross perot shouldve won
