The English translation of this piece is "In Thee is joy."
"In Bach is joy" would also apply! The recurring figure in the pedals almost cries out for a percussion effect - bells, for example. I've played this on smaller organs with limited pedal stops and the effect is much reduced. This organ certainly does it justice, though. Inspiring stuff!
I can't remember exactly where this organ is, but it's an Arp Schnitger one somewhere in the Netherlands. And "In Bach is joy" made me smile, because you're absolutely correct. Look at my channel, I had to quote you there ;-)
Strange thing Daniel, this piece sounded like it wanted to remind me of something and sure enough it did remind me of something I had to do which I had forgotten, lol:)
Thanks for this :) Looks like you have gone to the effort of providing the score during the video for quite a number of videos. Danke!

I agree with NPorganist! In Bach is joy!!! This is one of his most joyful pieces. We had it at our wedding during the signing of the register.

The organ is very bright. I like it. This music is also bright. A good match. I really enjoy following along with the music. Thanks.

That's kinda interesting, but I agree, it makes sense ;-)
This is actually one of my favorite chorale preludes and it sparkles with joy.
