@gugger77 Sorry to upset you but I actually had a reply from the guy who runs the show and he told me he did make a mistake. Low earth orbit is where things like the space shuttle travel. High earth orbit is where geo-static satalites are. BUT BOTH ORBIT THE EARTH. Sub earth orbit means the ship does not go around the earth. This means straight up into space and back down without going around the earth.

i agree that responsible technology is important. some research of them will show that low eco impact is important to their business plan. many of today's technolgies we enjoy are products of the space program. competition for NASA is a good thing. the more competition in space will eventually enable the regular joe's like me and presumably you to take a "joy ride" or more importantly - to be able to travel intercontenental in a fraction of the time it takes now and for a fraction of the cost.
I completely disagree. VG has gone out of their way to create an eco-friendly rocket for SS2 and even then the rocket won't fire until it is at the very edge of our atmosphere so the impact will be minimal.
Even outside of that, as mentioned in the video they have driven the cost down from many, many millions to hundreds of thousands. In a couple years it will be tens of thousands. Then thousands. This is the first great leap forward in 30 years and is going to open up space travel, IMO!
