A fair amount of the revenue from guns and ammo and all from licenses go back into wildlife management (management that re-introduced the very turkeys we were hunting). In Africa (for example) entire economies are based on hunting, providing both means and motivation to protect animals from poachers. In short: Hunting saves animals.
I think that animals would prosper more without hunters. Hunting to conserve animals sounds like an oxymoron. Animals are becoming extinct, in Africa, due to hunting and poaching.

I apologize if on this particular occasion we violated some sort of sacred turkey hunting tradition because we wanted to show a couple of guys from the city a good time. Joe and Tom have hunted just about every game animal on several continents, and have come away with some serious trophies. I guess after that it's hard to take turkeys in your own backyard too serious.
You put a humorous spin on a non-productive day. Nice job there, but the turkey-drive hunts are a good way for somebody to get shot. I doubt that they work very well anyway as evidenced by the video. Calling a turkey to you is the most rewarding way to hunt. (and safest)
your suppose to wear some sort of it. Its for safety purposes. especially if your gonna walk around stalking things. Its different if your still hunting. It lets hunters know what that your a hunter and not a target. plus, theres camo orange. Hundreds of hunting accidents are caused because the shooter thought the victim was a target.
It's recommended, and I agree it is much safer to wear orange. However, we don't know if these folks were on private land. Perhaps they were and they knew they were the only ones out there. These guys weren't doing anything crazy or unsafe in my opinion. I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt that they knew what they were doing. I was more upset that people were bashing them for posting an educational and entertaining video of their turkey hunt. There's no need for that.

I post to spread a message. It's better for the animals to take pictures than kill them.
Hunting for food is okay, but unecessary, since there are so many farms, grocery stores, and restaurants.
My posts are to warn against hunting for pride, lust, hate, or greed. They are also to promote life.
