Toots and Pat have a way of taking you to places. In your memory. Or in the present. Their music makes you fly above the clouds. They do not only make music, they create an environment. A different space in place and time. Were you can dream about the past and the future. It's truly brilliant. Them playing together makes a gem, although the sound quality is unfortunately not that good :-)

This song takes me back when I was stationed in Izmir Turkey, and I was trying to decide which direction I wanted to go in my life. Pat has described the CD Secret Stoy as (In short) the begining middle & end of a romance. This song for me describes how much you give to someone. When you truly give your heart, and you feel secure in doing so. Needless to relationship did not work, but I am thankful & blessed to have loved. At least give it a try.

Saw these two pro's years ago at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Pat was "a friend of" (a guest performer) during a Thielemans show.

I wish I had been in love with Pat's music then, the way I am now. :~)

Toots is awesome. He made an impression on me when I was a teenager while watching "Turks Fruit", a movie I should never have seen at the age of 13!
