range is just a little better than N150. 10m or so, not good at wall penetration 2 walls speed drops by a 3rd at a range of 15 meters from router. 5GHz not compat with most N recievers. Use peripherals of same standard eg N600 wifi modem router works best with N600 usb wifi reciever. Both need to communicate same distance. A little expensive but worth the benefits. I get a total of 93.50Mbps up of over 25% to my last modem.
Best to upgrade firmware asap as installed is often buggy.

oh dude i had this same problem, although its a bad video just reset the router while its connected then it should be all gravy.
