Skyward Sword's ending wasn't that great. The only good thing for me was Zelda's side story in credits. Otherwise, there was just scenery (but really great music). There wasn't any character resolutions. Probably because there weren't any good side quests or characters. Skyward Sword, not really that great of a Zelda game for me.
I think this would of been better if this actually were the LAST of the last of the Zelda collection... It was very fun, had a new feel, a great ending, and unlike most games, I actually watched the credits, the credits were so beautiful and peaceful... Of course though, I wiped a tear, cause I knew that this would be the last actual GOOD Zelda game.

But you can't deny that the ones who didn't know the old woman at the Sealed Grounds was in fact Impa, at the end when Zelda gives her bracelet to young Impa in the past and discovering the oldie was Impa in the present is very emotional too.
@HeartPeaceHappy It's just symbolism. Ganondorf doesn't die from Zant breaking his nexk. Link kills Ganondorf ultimately, the breaking of Zants neck is just symbolic of the death of Ganondorf and Zant :)
I just beat Skyward Sword and I must admit the ending was nowhere near as emotional as this game. I think that the soundtrack adds to that reason. I mean, just listen to that score after Minda leaves. I can't leave out how challenging and fun Skyward sword was compared to this. I highly recommend playing the new game if you haven't already.

In time he grew from being very timid to gaining a sense of bravery; although I don't believe that he gained the desire to fight per se, it was quite fitting that he decided to take up a sword and shield to escort the rest of the children back to Ordon Village.
Is that the last Ganondorf? We all saw how the triforce of power left his hand so I guess that without that power he won't be able to prevail even if he reborns along with Link and Zelda in another Legend of Zelda game.
If Ganondorf is defeated in both TP and TWW, then where the hell do ALTTP, LOZ, AOL, OOS, OOA, and FSA fit in? OOT lead to two timelines; one with MM and TP while the other lead to TWW, PH, and ST. As for the upcoming game SS (which takes place after TMC and before OOT) I can't wait to get that game. I just wish they'd figure out the Zelda timeline.

I never understood what Zant breaking his own neck had to do with Ganondorf's death... That's the only part of the whole game I didn't understand, other than that it was a masterpiece like all the rest of them :)
Ganon and Zant were bound together, as long as Zant was alive, Ganon couldn't die. He broke his neck to finish Ganon and if you wonder why he did it; its because Ganon being the dick that is lol, was only using him and then threw him away. Sort of a whole his god walking out on him kind of deal.
I'm kinda... sad... that Ganondorf died. Yes, he was evil, but he was once a great king. He just went mad with power. He is a tragic figure, blessed with power but forever wanting more, onto his eventual ruin. I don't think Link or Zelda had any satisfaction in his death. He's like a fallen angel, or a greek hero fated for disaster. But as Zelda says, the light cannot exist without the dark. The world, worn by time, is washed with shadow so light may shine through, brighter than ever.

In the child ending, Link tells Zelda that Ganondorf is going to destroy everything, so the sages in this game try to destroy him, but they failed, so they sent him to the twilight realm. Then, Link searches for a friend ( probably Navi ) and Majora's Mask happens. Ganondorf escapes from the twilight realm and Twilight Princess happen.

Twilight Princess is one truly epic game, and possibly one of the best zelda games so far. but that aside, my favorite is still the Majora's Mask because it's dark, sad, depressing, and most importantly, emotional, in a way people can relate to since it's about friendship, loneliness, and forgiving, instead of the pure fantasy in the other games. of course it's a personal thing, I'm just sayin.
The game that was the best in my opinion. I don't know any other games that is as good. And what about all the awards? over 48 game of the year awards!

SS looks like the same zelda i've played for years. For me, it needs HD graphics, a mature story, and something completely innovative. I really really hope Zelda Skyward Sword will be as awesome as this one. Everything about this game was great. The whole twilight realm thing and being a wolf was sick. The temples were great. The storyline was grabbing, the map of Hyrule made sense. All of the side tasks you could do were cool. In my opinion, the best Zelda game to date, and they should really make a sequel. Or incorporate some of the characters/aspects of twilight princess in Skyward sword.
I literally cry at the end of every Zelda game... no matter how many times I have seen it, I still cry. It's just so amazingly beautiful and no other game could every compare to it!

I'm kinda... sad... that Ganondorf died. Yes, he was evil, but he was once a great king. He just went mad with power. He is a tragic figure, blessed with power but forever wanting more, onto his eventual ruin. I don't think Link or Zelda had any satisfaction in his death. He's like a fallen angel, or a greek hero fated for disaster. But as Zelda says, the light cannot exist without the dark. The world, worn by time, is washed with shadow so light may shine through, brighter than ever.

@DillyTheDino OoT was really good,but a tiny bit overrated.This game gets little or no credit at all(some people think its the worst zelda!)yet it was just as good (better in my opinion)as Ocarina of Time.Everyone has their opinion,this just happens to be mine.

@FoxsDumbSeriesMaker well they never show it people think he became a stalfous (I think thats how u spell it) and became the hero's shade in twilight princess because the hero's shade has the same shield as Majora's Mask Link.

@FoxsDumbSeriesMaker Well Kid link searches for navi in the lost wood, then eventually he gets lost (He's a hylain so he does grow up) and then he becomes a stalfous. (Still not sure if im spelling it right) If you watch The Hero's Shade "Hero of Time" Theory (on youtube) it will give better info.

@applesaucethe3rd There have been several links, ocarina of time comes near the beginning of all the games so far while its believed that Twilight princess is one of the later games in the series but no one really knows, The Hero of Time from Ocarina of Time is in Majoras Mask as well but yeah there are Tons of different heroes

@92elemental Actually, it is confirmed that Twilight Princess is a direct sequel to Majora's Mask. In the child ending, Link tells Zelda that Ganondorf is going to destroy everything, so the sages in this game try to destroy him, but they failed, so they sent him to the twilight realm. Then, Link searches for a friend ( probably Navi ) and Majora's Mask happens. Ganondorf escapes from the twilight realm and Twilight Princess happen.

Twilight Princess is one truly epic game, and possibly one of the best zelda games so far. but that aside, my favorite is still the Majora's Mask because it's dark, sad, depressing, and most importantly, emotional, in a way people can relate to since it's about friendship, loneliness, and forgiving, instead of the pure fantasy in the other games. of course it's a personal thing, I'm just sayin.

The game that was the best in my opinion. I don't know any other games that is as good. And what about all the awards? over 48 game of the year awards!
I love this game, and I always will. played it 7 times now, still I cry in the ending, I feel like a crybaby...
Now, skyward sword, will it be close to TP? I sure hope so, since all Zelda games were good, they shouldn't stop now. Although Majoras Mask isn't exactly a fave.
I feel that this ending wasn't complete, so I write a MidnaxLink.

@Skrallizar Bioshock.The only other game that surpasses Oot/Tp in my opinion. Honestly to be interested in Zelda again, it has to take a huge step forward. SS looks like the same zelda i've played for years. For me, it needs HD graphics, a mature story, and something completely innovative. Something that make me go wow...i havent seen that in zelda/game before, while keeping the spirit of the zelda franchise. I havent been excited for a zelda game in years.

first off Skyward Sword is said to break the Zelda formula of field-dungeon-repeat, so it will definitely not be the same Zelda. Zelda has a very mature story, in that kids and adults can find something to take away from it and that the story has been being developed slowly over the past 25 years..what's your definition of a mature story?Hyrule gets invaded by zombies/aliens? As for HD graphics,wait for the Wii U.If graphics are your selling point for a game then that's a little sad

I really really hope Zelda Skyward Sword will be as awesome as this one. Everything about this game was great. The whole twilight realm thing and being a wolf was sick. The temples were great. The storyline was grabbing, the map of Hyrule made sense. All of the side tasks you could do were cool. In my opinion, the best Zelda game to date, and they should really make a sequel. Or incorporate some of the characters/aspects of twilight princess in Skyward sword.
