@KkahluaHero This is just one way to achieve this effect, and this is a quick and dirty explanation of technique. If one were to take more time to polish the effect, you could get it to look a lot more realistic.

for a channel based on special effects you'd expect the effects to be at least 7/10, but i just did not feel that at all. Even me A first year animation student, has made better effects, i mean the bullet casing was just a gold cylinder.

If you can, put a LASER pen or something similar inside the muzzle of the weapon. That way it will project light onto the video exactly where the bullet holes should go. In this instance, the bullets appear to have a huge drop off and fall by many degrees, and sometimes go left when the gun is going right.

The main flaw to this film, is the muzzle flashes look fake. The shape of them is too perfect, and at 1:28 it isn't even attatched to the gun. It looks like a candle flame or something.

When I watched the video it says "Watch in HD". I click on it, and the quality is amazing! This is the only video I have seen with this feature. There is something called "Watch in High Quality" but it's not as good as "Watch in HD"! How did you get your video to be put in HD?

Video format must have specific qualities.

Try taking a video with a frame size of at least 640 Width, and 360 Height.

You want to save it as Windows Media Video V9, with a custom template with best video rendering quality and a few other things. Such as

Audio: Mode - CBR, Format - Windows Media Audio 9.2, Attributes - 64 kbps, 44 kHZ, stereo (A/V) CBR

Video: Mode - Quality VBR, Format - Windows Media Video 9, Image size - High Definition (1280x720), Quality - 100%

Yeah, it's easy to do better than this. I do all my muzzle flashes in VisionLab, it works like a charm.

And in this video the gun looked terrible, which also made the muzzle flashes seem even worse.

Still, it's a great tutorial for the basics on this effect.
