how do you think, could I run this game, when I will buy this graphics card, now my pc specs are: 1gb ram, Pentium D 2.8 ghz. Now i have a 7100gs but I will have a 4650
hey i think it might work on my pc idk lemme no i got a AMD Phenom 2 X4 810 2.6ghz (i couldnt do roman numerals) 8 gb of memory and i was looking at the HD 4650 ,but idk whats the highest it will go is it 1gb? or what
@Narrcotics101 The 4650 would be pretty weak for your computer. You should get a 5970, or 2 5770's in Crossfire. That's if you're going for ATI, of course.
hai guyz, i just bought a hd 4600 series when i asked the salesman to give me a 4650 he gave me a 4670 for the same price.. am i at a loss? which more powerful 4650 or 4670? i use to think higher number of card is better but my friend say no..
oh i cant watch this... what do i HATE this game.... worst game ive ever played... its so bad... it sux to hard dude.... so non realistic, after after 5min you got to kill the same guard post people ago... and you have to stay on the roads... no freedom at all
@MinimeDrummerBoi what drivers u had hen u played far cry 2?10.3 drivers freeze in games, when i did the CD Drivers that come with the card when u buy it then it didnt freeze in games
I don't get why you guys go so high on the resolution. If I had this card I wouldn't mind playing 1024x768 with everything maxed and never worry about framerates. Big deal that you lose a few pixels.
Actually this is pretty realistic game O_o he just plays with some super extra easy mode and he doesn't have full graphics ..but it works pretty well and those graphics aren't bad at all
no get a duo core or quad core phenom 2.06ghz or better and 1gb ram might but will not be for high on crisis and also get a ati sapphire radeon hd4650 for £60 pc world your gonna need to spend at least £220 on your pc because your pc probaly wont be good enough to play dungeon keeper let alone crysis
i have chosen ATi redeon 4650 1gb....now there is another problem should i buy HIS ATI redeon 4650 ddr2 1gb... ?? OR XFX ATI redeon 4650 ddr2 1GB ???? help me ... lolzzz XFX vs HIS ? :D which one should i take... XFX or HIS ??
Hi. I tried to run this on my HIS 4650 512 MB at 1360 x 768 with everything on medium and no AA, but I only got about 20 FPS at best (sometimes it went below 15).
I have an E5200 2.5 Ghz with 4 GB DDR2 800 CAS 5, and the VGA is running on stock clocks. Do you think I'll be able to run this game with everything on high and above 30 FPS if I overclock the GPU to 653/437 mhz and the CPU to 3.3 Ghz?
I will have to get a $25 cooler to do that. Do you think the investment will pay off? Thanks.
Go to Control Panel, Sounds Speeches etc., then adjust system volume. Go to the audio Tab and select your Sound recording device and select volume and drag the tab higher.
Lower resolution = low res textures. Playing it at native resolution is your best bet. And the game does run great at 1440 x 900 so I don't know what your problem is.
hmm.. what do you guys think about a VisionTek ATI RADEON HD4650 card? it requires 350 watt power supply, but my pc has 300 watt power supply.. will it still be able to handle it with 300w?
if you get a PC with the processor you want, you can just buy a separate video card and add it to your desktop if u have SLI configuration. If not just switch them!!
i wanna buy this card cuz its super cheap. i just want it so i can play wow at max cuz my radeon 3650 just isnt cutting it. will this card let me play wow at max? just wondering. i got intell duel core 805 2.66ghz and 3g of ddr2
I just upgraded from a geForce 7950 GT to this card (4650 w/ 1GB DDR2) and Windows Vista performance evaluator actually dropped my gaming graphics score down from 5.8 to 5.2! What gives?
Operating system wouldn't affect your gpu unless you're using like windows 95 or something. Depends on what resolution you're going to play at. The higher resolution, the more vram you're going to need to fill those textures. Anything resolution above 1280 x 800, I recommend the 1GB version.
Not that great for GTA4. GTA4 is a very demanding game. Get something a little more powerful like a 4850 or 4870. My guess would be medium to low settings for a reasonable resolution.
Well, the 4650, it can "run" it but at barely playable frame rates if I were to guess. It's a budget card so it would probably play at lower resolutions and around a low to medium setting.
wow thanks for the help man i want to build a descent gaming desktop to at least run gta4 how fast u think the cpu should be per core (i wanted a dual-core)
In terms of the future, I would get a quad core because quad core is gonna go mainstream pretty soon. If you're get a dual core, get the E8400 and over-clocked it.
Well you should plan ahead and quad cores aren't that expensive. You should look at the new AMD Phenom II X4's, they're excellent and going at a great price for what you're getting.
First you should know that a 32-bit operating system can only recognise 3GB of RAM, and a 64-bit can recognise more.
So if you are sticking to a 32-bit operating system get 2GB or 3GB. To get 2GB you could get 2x1GB chips, or 1x2GB Chip. To get 3GB you do 1x1GB + 1x2GB chips.
yea i know about the whole vista stuff with 32 bit and 64 bit but i wanted to get windows xp pro sp2 so it could play then when it becomes outdated i would get vista
In that case. You could easily get 2x2GB RAM Chips. If you are getting the 64-but of XP Pro SP2 then it will recognise all 4GB, if not you will have 3GB but should be able to recognise all 4GB when you upgrade to Vista 64-bit. You can get more if you want, but for now 4GB is the recommended amount
yea i heard 4gb could run a lot of different games too so thats what im looking for. I really like this video card too how much memory u think i should get for the vid card i was thinkin around 512mb
512mb would do fine. And this card is quite cheap and does the job so it wouldn't be too hard to upgrade to a 1GB if you needed to. If you are on a budget go for 512mb and if you can afford a few more £s or $s then consider going for 1GB.
i wouldnt consider it if it wasn't needed its not like i want to play Crisis at ultra high settings lol i just want to play racing games at high fps with good graphics u think this could play racing games for years to come?
Wouldn't say years. Maybe 1 or 2 at the best, as technology is advancing rapidly...too fast in my opinion, they should slow it down. But if it's just racing then there shouldn't be too much need for a 1GB graphics card. It's not as if there are going to be lot's of huge explosions and such all at the same time :P
how do you think, could I run this game, when I will buy this graphics card, now my pc specs are: 1gb ram, Pentium D 2.8 ghz. Now i have a 7100gs but I will have a 4650

@nelizmastr it would be pretty hard, in some cases the 4670 can be 45% more powerful than the 4650

ehm...no...
the 4670 is the same gpu...only higher clocked....
It cannot be 45% more powerful..unless it had another architecture...
SynodCenturion 1 year ago
@SynodCenturion it's not only clocked higher. Take a look at the specs. 4670 has 400 stream processors, while the 4650 has 320.
Then there is also the clocks, which are lower. I've calculated on multiple benchmarks.

That's not really the issue for me. It's not that crisp at 1024 x 768.

geftargnabl 2 years ago
Lower resolution = low res textures. Playing it at native resolution is your best bet. And the game does run great at 1440 x 900 so I don't know what your problem is.
MinimeDrummerBoi 2 years ago
a good test is on my old rig bioshock native res 1440 x 900 all high: 21 fps... all high 1024 x 768: 36
geftargnabl 2 years ago
In addition, the higher the resolution, the more graphic card usage is used. Playing at 1024 x 768 is more CPU dependant.

the igp nvidea 8200 m its terrible its only good for multimedia i can barely play grid on medium
albokidnj 3 years ago
Oh, I thought you were talking about ATi. Isn't the 8200 a built in card? I'm assuming you have a laptop.
MinimeDrummerBoi 3 years ago
yea i wish i had the Ati 3200 hd for my laptop but i have no choice and have to be stuck with an 8200

You should build your own pc =]
MinimeDrummerBoi 3 years ago
lol u dont know how many people say that to me, i wanted to but i dont really know how to build it theres probably guides online right?
albokidnj 3 years ago
I personally learned by myself. It's pretty straight foward but if you need help, search "thenewboston". He has alot of videos on how to build a pc.

wow thanks for the help man i want to build a descent gaming desktop to at least run gta4 how fast u think the cpu should be per core (i wanted a dual-core)
albokidnj 3 years ago
In terms of the future, I would get a quad core because quad core is gonna go mainstream pretty soon. If you're get a dual core, get the E8400 and over-clocked it.
MinimeDrummerBoi 3 years ago
nice but i thought the quadcore would be too expensive for a descent one that could play pretty good games
albokidnj 3 years ago
Well you should plan ahead and quad cores aren't that expensive. You should look at the new AMD Phenom II X4's, they're excellent and going at a great price for what you're getting.

Nice ill look into it how many gigs of ram u think i should get?
albokidnj 3 years ago
The minimum for me is 2 GB. I recommend 4 GB of DDR2 or even better, DDR3. DDR2 would do just fine, but if you have the money, go with the DDR3.

To get 3GB you do 1x1GB + 1x2GB chips.

yea i know about the whole vista stuff with 32 bit and 64 bit but i wanted to get windows xp pro sp2 so it could play then when it becomes outdated i would get vista
albokidnj 3 years ago
In that case. You could easily get 2x2GB RAM Chips. If you are getting the 64-but of XP Pro SP2 then it will recognise all 4GB, if not you will have 3GB but should be able to recognise all 4GB when you upgrade to Vista 64-bit. You can get more if you want, but for now 4GB is the recommended amount

yea i heard 4gb could run a lot of different games too so thats what im looking for. I really like this video card too how much memory u think i should get for the vid card i was thinkin around 512mb
albokidnj 3 years ago
512mb would do fine. And this card is quite cheap and does the job so it wouldn't be too hard to upgrade to a 1GB if you needed to. If you are on a budget go for 512mb and if you can afford a few more £s or $s then consider going for 1GB.

i wouldnt consider it if it wasn't needed its not like i want to play Crisis at ultra high settings lol i just want to play racing games at high fps with good graphics u think this could play racing games for years to come?
albokidnj 3 years ago
Wouldn't say years. Maybe 1 or 2 at the best, as technology is advancing rapidly...too fast in my opinion, they should slow it down. But if it's just racing then there shouldn't be too much need for a 1GB graphics card. It's not as if there are going to be lot's of huge explosions and such all at the same time :P
1eandr1 3 years ago
yea but after time i would upgrade to maybe even a 4870 x2 or even stronger when new ati cards come out
albokidnj 3 years ago
Cool, it's entirely your choice.
I'm including this card in my next build too :P
Probably the 1GB version and 4GB of DDR3 RAM.
