  • Fail

  • beautifull landing:)

  • Wow, don't you love them short landings ?

  • I don't think that is gonna buff out...

  • Mas trucho que Menem...

  • Very sad, for the people in it and for this vintage plane

  • Real. Remember seeing this on tv.

  • i cannot belive it......i just fuckin bought that and i didn't get a cover note...DOHOO!

  • Real and heterosexual.

  • Comment removed

  • I think it should be a law to admit CGI/photo manipulation of any sort, and it's extensiveness, prior to any public display whether it be non profit or profit, advertising or entertainment, even music. In movies everyone expects it and it speaks for themselves, however for, say, youtube, etc, something has to be done.

  • @clashingelements I think you are a moron. It's not fake -.-

  • why is it not smoking at first then he takes the camera off the plane and it looks like its been their for about 20 min.

  • TERRIBLE PLANE CRASH

  • RIP

  • something just isnt right with this video...a very calm " I Cannot believe it" nah..i dont buy it!...i can actually understand why it has 48 dislikes!.

  • @MetallMozzo FFS, it's REAL. Gimli airfield, Canada, 1992. The person speaking is the late pilot's father, and he's IN SHOCK, which is why he sounds the way he does, and says the things he says. You can even read the NTSB report of this incident on their database. Cause of the crash: gust-lock issue. I despair to see so many cries of fake on so many YouTube video comments. That's the price we pay for CGI and Photoshop I suppose.

  • @TheMightyHartley fair enough

  • looks like he tried climbing out at wayyy to steep of an angle and stalled it

  • Gust locks left on?

  • Try lego instead , for stunning realism!

  • im pretty sure i read an article about this crash that said a tool was left in the aircraft and jammed the flight controls

  • FAKE

  • @mike86183 its not fake

  • @MrAlexHuff Of course its not fake i was just pretending. i was on that plane you know, good job i had my parachute with me!!

  • @mike86183 I dont find that amusing or funny in the slightest. People died.

  • @mike86183 In the contrary, it's quite real.

  • @mike86183 Oh no not you again :-)

  • Wow FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I cannot believe it.

  • The truth is there are many possibilities for the incident. You can only take an opinion based on the evidence presented. The aircraft appears to take off and then pitch is increased so much that the aircraft stalls, the wing drops and there is no room left for recovery. This could be as simple as an elevator failure.

When I am doing my ground checks on the C172, I specifically look at what's connecting me to the control surfaces and let me tell you, there isn't much.

  • Some guys just go beyond their own limitations and also those of the aircraft. At a moment like this they all wish that they were Bob Hoover and could save the situation, but, unfortunately, most of them do not.

  • Did he forget to set his trim proper? (assuming this old plane has manual trim ofc)

  • You can clearly tell this is vid is fake. no retard would fly a plane like that. in that angle the plane woudl go into a stall and crash. sorry but this is fake

  • @MrDevilRage this is not fake, the man holding the camera is the father of the pilot that died on that plane crash!

  • clearly CG

  • heartwrenching reaction to that crash. he really releases his emotions.

  • @jmkinnit1998Official

i just noticed the video was cut.

he pulls the camera down, then its cut, then as it comes up, its already billowing out black smoke. So im sure he had a reaction, though, i really don't give a shit about his reaction. I'd rather have seen/heard the full vid.

  • What do you mean, CG? Center of Gravity or Computer Generated? Keep searching, dude, cause it's a well ducomented crash :

( search Caribou Crash in Google )

and it's no 3D shit.... Peoples lots their lives there so respect plz

  • fake. plane is 3d animated.

  • @JasperJapsen: Yes, and I wonder why there are so many people who don't see that it's actually CGI. I guess it's the same reason as people can't tell real tits from fake tits. People aren't interested in reality anymore.

  • @wwwgutemusikorg true true...

  • @wwwgutemusikorg In case you're not joking, it's real: the plane is a DeHavilland Caribou, and this happaned at Gimli Airfield, Canada, 1992. Read the NTSB report of this crash - gust-locks left on. The person filming is the late pilot's father. Two others died with the captain.

  • @TheMightyHartley: OK, as I found several reports about this accident, I guess you're right. I have to admit that I really thought that it was CGI, but mainly due to the following reasons:

-The plane has a pure metallic, solid surface as one would expect from a cgi-model, without even having any symbols on it.

-The film sequence from the start of the plane until it crashes is extremely short, which is typical for all those fake-crash-films on youtube.

-The rather unemotional voice at the end.

  • @wwwgutemusikorg

    Way to backpedal..:/

  • He could not fly worth a shit

  • SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • Heads up!...Er, down?

  • With the exception of a slightly higher-than-normal nose attitude at lift-off, the aircraft's

initial climb appeared normal. At about 35 feet AGL, the aircraft made a noticeable pitchup

    movement.

  • hate all these comments about "gust locks were still engaged" LOL just cos you play Flight Simulator doesn't mean you know how to fly or why this aircraft crashed. (from BA Pilot)

  • this is alot like the b-52 crash...

  • HOWZ COUD DIS HAPPEN? no but srysly dis is really trerrible

  • bah.. it's CGI :)

  • REF: docvegas222: I don't agree with your analysis. I've seen actual incidents of pilots (for any number of reasons) getting so wrapped up in distraction they forget the control locks, and the results are exactly as seen above. First flight of a new turbine conversion and this guy hotdogs? I think not. K6

  • Oh my god poor polit

  • what was he thinking?

  • Gust locks were still engaged. Tragedy inevitable.

  • Fake

  • It's real. Status: Date: 27 AUG 1992 Time: 10:20 Type: de Havilland Canada DHC-4T Caribou Operator: NewCal Aviation Registration: N400NC C/n / msn: 240 First flight: 1965 Crew: Fatalities: 3 / Occupants: 3 Passengers: Fatalities: 0 / Occupants: 0 Total: Fatalities: 3 / Occupants: 3 Airplane damage: Written off Airplane fate: Written off (damaged beyond repair) Location: Gimli, MB (Canada) Phase: Initial climb (ICL) Nature: Test
  • Gust lock...bull shit! The pilot clearly ignored ground effect and went straight into maneuvers which he clearly didn't have the airspeed, altitude, or power to execute! Pilot Error...not aircraft error.

  • the guy was probably shocked that the plane just crashed & quickly shut off the camera... then a little later, he turned it back on to record it burning. all of you people who say its fake should stop being ignorant cause you know absolutely nothing about it.

  • Can prop-engined aircrafts take off at such a steep angle? This one reacts like an R/C plane, like it weights 800gr or something, lol!

  • when he brings the camera down the plane had just crashed, but when he brought it back up the black smoke was already in the air.

  • this dude think he can out smart us he edited that shit

  • @ashs9ton It's real... ! I'm a private pilot myself. This is what happens, when you can't push the nose down. The AOA gets too high --> stall, crash!

  • @depoty get a life... ur brain is cgi...

  • Well R.I.P. you dumbest pilot for not doing your pre-flight check and removing the Gust locks!

  • Absolut fake, no foolin' .

The movement of tha aircraft is impossible.

  • @Gonzissimo And you come to that conclusion because? This crash is documented. There was a Ford trimotor that did this same manouver because of the same thing. Gust lock installed. Preflight would pick it up.

  • @sonex424 I have to explain me where you see three engines, anyway the images are evidently constructed; the definition af airplain is completely dufferente rispect to the rest and the rate of climb is unreal.

  • @Gonzissimo Not---Just a poor video. What I said was: There was another crash. Ford Trimotor replica. Crashed for the same reason. And the manouver looked identical. In both cases the Gust lock was not removed. The climb rate is unreal because not only is this a DHC-4 STOL aircraft. It had been modified with much more powerful engines.

  • The cameraman is damn lucky it didn't roll the other way

  • F A K E!!!

  • @StealthCessnaCombats You can go fuck yourself for making fun of their death. Of course your dick is too short to do that which is why you have to make fun of serious matters.

  • Hmm... I really don't know what happened there...

The elevator doesn't look like the pilot pulled to hard. Wrong balance maybe?

Why didn't he push the nose down? That's the first thing you make when your speed it too low.

  • @MrLowAltitude he left one of the control locks in, he couldnt control the plane i think :/

  • @TheWhiteOwl23 Oh, that really sucks... But a pilot should notice that! That's what a pre flight check is for!

  • @MrLowAltitude agreed.

  • @MrLowAltitude Gust lock was not disengaged. NTSB report.

  • @pietenpol2010 Ok, thanks man.

  • This video may be real.... but words 'I cannot belive it. It's all over' at the end sounds realy weird...

  • @pattmelodyz Yep. Why would she say "I cannot believe it" instead of screaming, running, dom anything but saying that? It makes no sense. What was she thinking?

  • @ylekiot43 She? She? - Are you deaf!

  • @Factnotfictionpeople Relax, man. Take it easy. Have some liquor. Spark the bud.

  • Everytime I see this video there are more morons calling it a fake. - Hey, idiots - Look it up on the FAA's website. It was a real crash, that really happened. All you have to do is have the brain power to be able to look it up. - I won't hold my breath....

  • I bet that was a set up, because if it had really crashed he would probably be going oh my god and trying to dial 911 for whoever the pilot was!!

  • fuck you jayhoyt28 no one gives a shit of your ranting youtube is fucking public you pathetic imbecile

  • Real

  • So sad and tragic. Rate of climb + bank angle too great? Any pilot knows the limits of his (her) craft. I have never heard of "gust locks". RIP.

  • @milescheifetz Gust lock was installed. No control.

  • @milescheifetz Gust locks are put in place when the aircraft is to be tied down and not hangared. They keep strong winds from hammering the control surfaces and damaging them. Google "gust lock"

  • hold down 7 you can see the wing going into the ground fake

  • fake

  • pause at 8 secs and check out the landing gear. No real plane could land on that!

  • @23hublock1 you have no fucking idea moron, that is the real landing gear, and that is real footage, how many of those have you seen up close?

  • @twistednormal Thank you for such choice words of wisdom. My decision is final, and it's graphics or CGI.

Anyway, were you there moron? Did you film it moron? No, exactly. Cunt. Feel free to slip me your address, and I'll personally pop round and knock you out.

  • @23hublock1 Your decision is final? Buahahahaha you're hilarious, seriously! There is no decision making here butt wipe, at least not in your malfunctioning brain. This is a very real video of a very real crash of a very real DHC-4 or DH-4 Caribou. Try using the internet for something other than youtube and porn for a change little man. Google Caribou crash Gimli, and click on the page that says "Plane crash - Tech Support Forum".

  • @twistednormal Cunt.

  • @23hublock1 wow, i dont know how to reply to that, such an incredible insult, didn't know they taught that word in the first grade! You're pathetic, especially if you still think this is fake. Pea brain!

  • @twistednormal Cunt.

  • @23hublock1 hmmm, i'm guessing it took you all day to come up with that one?

  • @twistednormal Cunt.

  • this is fake, pause it at 8 or 10 seconds, you can tell it graphics!

  • lol "i cannot believe it,its all over"

  • FAKE!

  • Here's a real easy takeoff checklist: CIGARS

    Controls

    Instruments

    Gas

    Attitude

    Runup

    Safety

It may not be adequate for a complex airplane, but doing step 1 would have prevented this.

  • possibly a large rc?

  • If I read the date correctly as 27 Aug 1992, the NTSB has no record of this crash... Maybe it's fake afterall.

  • @mspress you should try 1993, thats what it looks like to me.

  • @mspress Type this in as a keyword for google then: Caribou Crash NTSB you will find a record.

  • I have been a pilot for a long time, and Have always done a "control check" right ater the "run up" prior to taking the active runway. I just cant imagine a pilot taking the run way without having performed a control check. but form the video, its pretty clear the pilot had no controls.

  • this looks completely animated...phake?

  • @jlhe2011 er no?

  • he overpulled for take off :/

  • @Malakodarmenos your a moron, read the above comment.

  • That video is completely real.

  • see the Right engine started going bad and the Plane crashed!

  • ya if that happened irl

he wouldnt have been allowed on the airfield

and he wouldnt sound all monotone and strait about it

he could have at least done something

  • This is pretty much fake and gay how else did he knew that this plane was gonna crash? and how he got on runway?

  • @sepulchureaqwdude It was a test. You usually film tests for review. You also usually don't know when something will crash. It's pure chance. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions.

  • what a dumbass

  • Dude, when you're 7000 feet in the air, do a flip...not when you're 3 feet off the ground

  • Peter Griffin at 21 seconds?

  • red bull racing it aint !!!!

  • It could be real, or fake... But if it was real, i am sorry for your loss.

  • erm... it's a model !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The crash was caused because the gust lock was engaged and the three crew members were all killed.

  • How come the plane took off at a steep angle? Was there something wrong with the aileron?

  • i started watching skyline video's eventually i got to train locomotives, how the fk did i end up at planes that crash :o bad english sry

  • for all you guys that are saying it is fake, try telling that to the guys inside it.

  • fake

  • ... That's fake, an airplane can't take off a that speed, it's maybe a RC airplane

  • @Mrmartinnico it can with a huge headwind

  • @Mrmartinnico Obviously you know nothing about the DHC-4 and the fact that this one had much more powerful engines. Do a YT search for DHC-4.

  • This has to be fake....1. The plane can't take off the quickly, 2. The way that the camera man is talking makes it sound like a 15,000 doller RC airplane crashed. 3. No one can stand that close to an real airport runway. Just my opinion....

  • I have heard rumours that this crash is fake? I'm not one to judge but if it is real, god rest their souls.

  • Well now why did he do that for??

  • that happend to me while playing battlefield 1943

  • It really happened. I fly for a living and this example is shown for what can happen when you fail to perform a thorough pre-flight check of aircraft. The aircraft was a test-bed for turbine conversion and the pilots, or engineers forgot to remove the gust locks on the flight controls before this flight. There was no way to control the aircraft after it took off. They should have aborted the takeoff before it reached flying speed when someone realized the yoke didn't move!

  • @jetfalconer Yeah i heard that about this.....Scary stuff dude.

  • @jetfalconer Thanks for explaining it. I was thinking maybe it was a trimming problem or incorrectly loaded

  • @jetfalconer i thought it was due to a very steep clime?

  • what the fuck was the pilot thinking?

  • brutal !

  • Soo fake just look at how fast the smoke goes up when he turns the camera down..!

  • @rav3two Your wrong. this was filmed with an over the shoulder camera witheye piece. you keep one eyeclosed so you can see in the view finder. he pans down cause he took the camera off his soulder to see what is hapening with both eyes. starts to film again after cam is back on his shoulder. DH-4 Carabue crash killed 3

  • @rav3two you must be fucking stupid.... honestly dont post agian...anywhere.....please...

  • @rav3two I'm so fucking tired of you kids with nothing better to do than go looking for videos to call out as fake in some poor attempt to prove your intelligence to yourself. All you do is prove your ignorance. If you want to see something fake take a good look in the mirror and realize how fake your self worth is. Then get your ass upstairs because daddy needs his "massage".

  • @jayhoyt28 Lol you have the nerve to bitch at people watching this.... but then again its okay for you to have a look, so you have clearly looked for this video.

    Must be american...

  • @jayhoyt28 : Oh, that was mean but dead on. Nice scolding for all those wanna be's on You Tube.

  • @jayhoyt28 ur comentary is fake

  • shyte cartoon shyte

  • @cakeyspig How do you little UK dwellers get to be so fucking stupid?

  • @cakeyspig are you serious?

  • I'm guessing they never checked the stick for freedom of movement before takeoff...you know that thing that they teach you the first time you sit in the left seat

very sad but it goes to show...there are procedures for a reason

  • HAHA " i cannot, believe it." obviously a model or something

  • @dondaraper I did some reserch and this is real. Pilots did not do a pre flight check. tail rudder and right ailerons wer hard over to the right on take off and pilot contros were in the central position. as soon as the wheels came off the ground as he pulld the wheel to get liftoff the plane banked right away and it was too late to counter manuver. No speed plus hard vertical right bank equaled death for sure for the people on board. i belive it was three people parished

  • @cockmaster069 show me how you found that. what is the source of your "research".

  • @dondaraper Go to the Aviation Saftey Network. Look for dh4-Caribou crash in Manitoba Canada. You will find some info you need Maybe

  • @dondaraper Chech out f-18 crash in lethbridge Alberta. Nice fireball. this happened 70 miles from my house.

  • @dondaraper yeah a 1:1 scale model with a pilot...

  • I believe this was the father videotaping this and his son was flying.

  • dumb assssssssssss

  • dumb pilot... tried to do a roll straight after take off

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • yea and how can i fly next month???

  • I cannot believe it....It's all over

  • critical pilot error
