  • I don't think those pieces of crap are Framus guitars. Framus guitars weren't that bad. Those things look like Czech or Russian dookie sticks. Bill's not even got a bass. LOL. No straps even!

  • think it was a flipside of a single with come on from 63 , studio version of course, and playback was common in those days

  • cant u see the guitar leads there playing alright

  • They played this song a lot. It is even on Get Your Ya Yas out. I think it was a low charting single off of Ya Yas, I remember hearing on on the AM radio.

  • What guitars are they playing? Did the French want them to promote them?!!

  • @corg22 Framus guitars! from Germany :)

  • @geschifteaap John Lennon used a Framus 12 strng on the "HELP!" AND "rubber soul" sessions, didn't he?

  • Keep up at the back there Bryant! This would be not long after they left the Richmond Crawdaddy Club scene. Bill had many more Stones-miles in him before he quit.

The Stones were so easily the coolest band on the block in those days, they didn't even have to pretend to take things seriously, they knew they were unassailable, which in turn made them even cooler. Hardly any recordings of the early band do their sound justice, as those who saw them once, twice A WEEK in 1963 know only too well.

  • if i remember well. the guitars were at the custom. For the TV show they used guitars avaible on the TV set. Bill wyman play bass on a 6 strings guitar.

  • @The170460 Apparently guitars were available at the TV studio, but straps weren't.

  • @Iamheofwhomhespeaks C'est la vie. Remember that was in France in jurassik period.

  • they've got to be messin with that tv station producer. they obviously don't care if they're keeping up with the track or not. they're just foolin around

  • what the f?ck are keith doing holding the guitar that high on his chest??

did he just do that back then?? or is he taking the piss by looking like an idiot??

i have noticed that back in the days alot of people was playing with the guitar up there, and some older guys still do.. looks really NOT COOL

  • Mick can't keep up wit the song!! Keith, brian r not even touch the strings!! Bill doesn't hav a bass and Charlie boy isn't even hitting the drums!! It's jus sooo cute that their lip syncing and sooo...OBVIOUS!!!

  • if that wasn't the stones it would have been a comedy act.

  • their gear didn't show up for this TV performance...they are lip synching with borrowed instruments...Wyman not even holding a bass

  • Classic Brian Jones era Stones! The sound & film is out of synch in this presentation, so the miming looks worse than it actually was for the airing (presumably), but it doesn't matter 'cause it's a ridiculous appearance!! -- the group, holding cheap euro instruments that were obviously just handed to them (whoops, no straps, no gtr. cords, sorry boys!) - quite comical! Yes, they are fully 'taking the piss' !! From a time when Rock'nRoll was still subversive to the establishment / "adult world".

  • Come on, Bill isn't even playing a bass.

  • The Miming Stones!!

  • Thanks for this, never seen the complete video before

  • Look at the way keith holds his axe compared with today quite a difference could not find a longer strap..lol

  • @buffspringfield None of them, if you look closely, were even issued guitar straps with the "guitars" they were handed.

  • @xmrhyde So true..no straps, not even playing must have been one to many glasses of wine I was drinking darn Chateauneuf-du-Pape to have missed that, thanks for pointing it out

  • Worse bit of miming they ever did. They often took the piss like this!

  • what guitar is keith playing???

  • @poptart1239 ...Burns I think...I had a tri-sonic and it looked a bit like this one. BTW he isn't playing it... they are miming very badly..... hahaha.

  • @Nickofaballooni Definitely not Burns! These are totally continental Euro guitars. Thought I saw somewhere that they were French, but they have hallmarks of both German and Italian electrics of the time. I'll keep researching....

  • @Nickofaballooni German Fasan guitars, at least Keith and Brian's. Look 'em up on the website fetishguitars (mostly Italian stuff but lots of weird Euro brands too). Bill may be playing an Isana, made by the same folks. Or would that be volks?

  • is this before or after Brian died? (i'm sorry, that was mean! RIP Brian) so... is this before or after Bill quit the band?

  • @robbiebryant all b-4
