This reminds me exactly of the Nightmare Inspector manga! The plot is almost the same (in the manga the main character was a "Baku" {dream eater} who got rid of peoples reoccuring nightmares) except this is set current era. I haven't seen this movie yet but I'd highly suggest the manga to anyone interested in this plot (and it has great artwork and a really interesting story).
on 3:39 is that an x-acto knife kinda funny they should have put something more bih and more reavleling like a big kitchen knife or somethin like that... hahahaha but whatever still looks like a good movie thanks for the review swan!
One thing about this format is that the clips kind of distract from the voiceover...it's a bit difficult to focus on ywhat you're saying, especially with the audio of the clips drowning you out at times.
Also, the fluff from the old reviews was fun, no? At least, I enjoyed it.
yay! New video! :) ooo, Hitomi is in this one? I'm not a big fan, but she's a talented singer. This movie seems interesting, but it isn't part of my favorite genres. I still need to get a hold of iron man.
cool, the reviews are back, I really like the new format, but you should mute the movie while you are talking is a little annoying. But I am happy for you to come back.
As much as I like Ryuhei Matsuda, I thought the acting and presentation in this was pretty bad. I guess I'm kinda spoiled, though since I watched Aoi Haru first...
I've been trying to watch this one online for a long time, but the quality always sucks. I am more interested in seeing it now though. Hey, what's everyones favourite Tsukamoto film? I have no idea what of his work is popular. I personally like A Snake of June best.
I didn't really like Vital, I liked the acting, music and direction but, I couldn't get into the story really. Same thing with Gemini, I need to get that OST a lot! I also still need to see Bullet Ballet, do you know if it's any good?
kewl! Looks gory and spooky! My only complaint (though I haven't seen it) is the deus ex machina-esque use of physic-like characters who used to explain the plot in more detail such as in the great film Ringu. Does this seem like a trend in some japanese horror flicks?
Thank u for bring it back!!! I love how u review each film! I have seen every movie u reviewed(well not the one's u didnt like lol) and I enjoyed each one! I love ur reviews!! Keep up the good work! :)!!
swan nice vid as usual hehhehe get ready for my next review show coming in another week or a few days heheheheh
oh and nice that you are going back so go to harajuku on sundays theres all kinds of people(in costume and singing etc, events) thats my request to you dude hehehhehehhehehehh and maybe more akiba!!!!!!hheheh cosplayers!!! XD XD XD
The new style is very incisive and informative but i prefer the older vids were you just talk into the camera and splice in some scenes. I miss the keterol tunes aswell.
Yay! The reviews are back... but... I prefere the older style that you used, before. This one is... ok... but it was much funner (not a word... lol) to watch before.
Can't wait for the next one! Norkios dinner table is awesome!
... But uh, I kind of prefer to see you in the reviews and not the movie. Some screen shots would be nice, but hearing the movie while you were speaking got kind of tiring after awhile.
I've been waiting for these to return. Thank you for always extending my knowledge in the genre and giving me movies to watch. The new format for your review works great and gives the viewer a hint on what's to be expected from the movie.
Will be looking forward to the next one as always.
I think this new format would be better if you turn down the volume from the TV a little bit. That way I can hear you better; and also you talk a little too fast. But don't get me wrong, I like this format and glad you're doing more J-horror reviews.
new format, just trying to do the videos how i want them to be done. i'm also working with a script on this one so there's no stuttering or countless 'ya knows' lol.
yup sure did. so the actual film quality is much better, but for the purposes of the review i think it does ok, but i'm interested in hearing what people think.
Yayayayay more horror reviews, i can't wait, cus i've seen suicide club, and every one says i should see noriko's dinner table, so maybe your review will help me want to watch it.
i think i already reviewd carved earlier this year, but no review planned for sick nurses yet (haven't seen it haha). more reviews coming out this month, thanks for watching!
So you liked Horror movies?
They really do send my mind to a colorful state. Funny. With the gore that may come with it. It's mostly "black".
