It has almost become mandatory to use a professional agency such as this these days in order to find a decent job. Most of the good employers want the assurance that further screening does so they hire the right people. It's cost effective for the companies.
This is the fifth video I've watched from this company and the quality shows through each and every one of them. I didn't make the job fair but am wishing that I had now. I have a job that I feel will be a good stepping stone but maybe I should do the consultation as confirmation.
The job fair this year was huge! I didn't really know if it meant there were a lot of jobs available or if there were just too many people looking for a job. Made me nervous, actually, about my chances of getting something suitable that pays enough to live on.
I can understand what you're saying. It was rather overwhelming to realize how many other people are out there looking for jobs, wasn't it? You can't let that get to you, though. Remember that none of those people have exactly the same skills that you have and focus on your skills, not the competition.
I saw a couple of camera crews going around the job fair but thought they were news media crews. I'm pretty sure some of them were but apparently not all. They did a nice job with this video - very professionally done.
A friend of mine went to the job fair but I couldn't make it. She knows how miserable I am with my present job so when she saw this video, she emailed a link to me. I have to say that I'm impressed with the founder being there. I'm giving them a call today.
I wish I had gone to the job fair. At the time, I had a job and thought I was all set. Turns out the company was on its last legs financially and I was laid off this past week. I've been in shock for the past few days and am just starting to plan for what I'm going to do next.
The job fair was huge this year with so many different companies represented. I got several leads from businesses that I had honestly never heard of. I found a great position and am very happy with my job. If I wasn't, I do believe that I would call these guys, though.
You are lucky, 2b. You are one of the few people that I've ever seen say that they actually like their job. It seems like most of the people I know, including myself, are not experiencing much in the way of job satisfaction.
You did miss the best, jennie. This is the best company there is for this sort of thing, at least in this part of Canada. I'm not sure how far their reach is but no matter where you live, it's worth a shot to call them
I remember talking to this dude at the job fair! He was really friendly and gave some great advice for dealing with a situation at my current job. I was going to go see them but the advice he gave me helped so much that I'm staying where I am for right now.
I missed the job fair - actually had to work straight through! However, I've been watching several of the videos and I must admit to being impressed by the professionalism.
I remember seeing this booth at the job fair and it was pretty crowded. I couldn't get through and meant to get back but didn't. Sounds like I missed the best of the lot.
These guys are just tremendously helpful. I've worked with another job search company in the past and they were much less friendly and useful. My RDG career advisor really helped me by connecting me with just the right person within the company that I wanted to work for.
I know what you mean about other job search firms. I've worked with two over the years and wasn't satisfied with either one of them. One basically gave me the same leads as I would get out of a newspaper classified section. That was a total ripoff.
Do I ever know what you mean! I paid $100 to one company and that's basically all they did for me, too. Maybe we used the same service? And I use that term loosely since they gave me very little service. I wish I had known about this company before wasting my money.
I didn't attend the job fair because RDG already helped me tremendously. They taught me how to create an eye-popping resume and how to make a great impression with the interview. They set me up with a fantastic position and my career is doing great!
Wow, I'm kind of awestruck now. When I visited the booth, I didn't realize the man that was so helpful was Dale Smith, the actual founder of the company. Makes me feel good about a company where the head of it is down in the trenches.
I was at the job fair and man, was there a lot of people there! Made me feel kind of apprehensive about my chances of finding a good job, to be honest. I saw the RDG booth but didn't have a chance to talk to them.
I know what you mean but you have to remember that these people were from all different fields and industries so chances are most were not looking for the same type of job as you. There are plenty of jobs in the area if you know where to look.
I wasn't around for the job fair which I had regretted but now I regret it even more. Sounds like the company really has it together and the best interests of their clients in mind.
I was at the job fair but somehow I managed to miss this exhibit, I guess, because the name of the company doesn't sound familiar. I just wrote down the number to give them a call later this week.
I wasn't able to attend the job fair but between the video and you guys comments, these guys sound like just what I need. I'm sick of my boss in my current job but I don't want to start out on the lowest level with a different company.
The Toronto Job Fair was incredible and there were tons of exhibitors. The one that stood out in my mind was the people from RDG Careers. Instead of telling me why I should use their services, the man I spoke to started asking me what I wanted to do.
The gentleman that I spoke to at the RDG booth in Toronto was both knowledgeable and friendly. When I told him that I was moving to Toronto in the summer, he gave me a card and told me to call if they could help.
I didn't make it to the Toronto job fair although I wanted to. I like seeing some of the exhibitors here on youtube as I get the chance to check out what I missed. Boy, these guys do a really professional job of their videos, don't they?
