mark is the backbone of this band. he has an amazing voice, and unbelievable guitar skills. even though most songs he is only backing vocals, he still has just as much of an impact on the songs as myles does. when they sing together it is something words can not describe. when they take turns like in this song it is absolutely amazing. mark and myles are the ultimate song writing duo

@Bradbssargdons mark and myles do about 50% a piece. mark said in an interview i watched yesterday. mark writes all the vocal melodies and his own lyrics and guitar parts. and myles writes the main lyrics for the song. and his guitar parts. brian and scott are responsible for their own parts of course. this band is awesome because when they right, myles or mark can show the rest of them 100 of their best ideas, and they take these ideas and make a small change then pass it on.

@Bradbssargdons yea same here. and when i point out that as the members stand it is creed with a different lead singer (AB is way better than creed in my opinion) and they cant believe it. it is so much more melodic, and more metal, and more blues. i think mark, scott and brian have risen above creed.

They dont come right out and say it that way but they choose their words carefully when describing what each thinks about Creed and AB. AB to me, isnt even in the same league as Creed. Creed is almost bubble gum pop rock. AB has so much more melody(as you said) and depth. In my eyes, the two couldnt be more different, which is weird since its the same guys minus a singer.

@Kudblythe3 thats a good point. Newer Creed DOES sound similar to Alter Bridge but only instrumentally speaking, not vocally. Scott Stapp has -hands-down- the WORST live voice I have ever heard. And I have been to about 100 major concerts. Creed came here(Houston) sometime in 2010 and I was able to listen to the concert from the parking lot while tailgating.... his voice is HORRENDOUSLY bad. I will send you a video of the show i listened to in private message.

@Bradbssargdons same here i like every song from every album. i also really like mayfield four, myles is really good in that. and im waiting for marks solo album. i really like marks voice, better than scott stapps lol. its only once in a while you find two vocalist's that have voices that blend so well together, but also have such contrasting and amazing skills on the guitar. myles and his blues like stuff and marks metal riffs and licks make the perfect combo.
