I cut out a flame with a razor blade(no exto knife) and I used scotch duct tape and I came out ok but the adhesiv lines were off the tape eny tips

@ilovepieyes If it is like an x-acto knife and works the same way then just keep using what you have. The main reason I use specifically x-acto knives is that I'm used to how they work and how they feel. It's really just personal preference.

For what, to mark down where to cut on the tape? I usually just use a simple pen but since this design was so simple I just cut them out right away with the knife.

for the stenciling, its easier if you hold the picture down on top of the duct tape with sealing, packaging, or some kind of clear tape, hope i helped!

Check out Google images. There are a lot of simple flame designs on there. Choose one and then stencil it on tape.
