dude thats awesome i have the same set up on my 02 type s.... i have 05 k24a2 and 06 type s transmission intake header exhaust and the kpro... i just got the rbc yesterday i still have to put it on, did you have to mod it at all to fit the k24? or is it just direct bolt on?
Your build almost mirrors mine. My cyilinder 3 went after a spun bearing (caused by me cornering hard with very little oil). Biggest diff is mine's an 02 and I stuck with my original intake manifold. Found a cheap K24A2. K20A2 head was repaired, not replaced. Swapped out my cams for Toruku ones (company gone now I think?). Already had K-Pro from before.

Having 2.4 liters of ivtec happiness in a car barely over 2,000 lbs just sounds like fun. Oh and no disrespect to the dc5 guys but, my car has two control arms at each corner!!! HAPPY!
@Apodalont Us DC5 guys will be the first to tell you our suspension setup sucks and we all hate it. But what can you do? Just get wider tires, stickier tires, and a good coilover setup and hope you stick to the ground lol

The K24A4 swap isn't bad if you swap out the rods and pistons to be able to use a wider variety of heads (valve clearance). K20A2 or K20A3 trannies for VSS compatibility. Easier to work with. Z3 tranny with A2 case okay too. :)

No you are wrong Try2lie. I have a k24a2 and there is no need to swap heads. You need to research more. If I had a k24a1 or k24a4 I would yes but with the a2 no need. My cams are bigger and the headflow is almost the same if not better than the k20! Also the head doesn't change the RPMs. Rpm's are rpm's. The head has nothing to do with that. It's the extra mass of the rotating assy that limits speed. stroke is a lot of the factor, the higher the stroke the less it wants to rev.
Also.... the head has nothing to do with RPM's man... it's all about piston speed and how the block is built... I could swap heads sure... but it won't gain any RPM because it has nothing to do with it. The crank and the stroke and the compression etc are what build high revs. Also, the head I have is the closest to the k20 head and the cams are bigger in the k24a2 than the k20 so no need to swap any of it. If I had a k24a1 or a k24a4 I would have swapped heads and built the block. :)

I blew my engine pretty damn bad and literally it was in the blink of an eye. I was shifting out of third and it didn't go into 4th and I neutral over reved the engine and when it bounced off revlimiter she dropped a valve and BOOM
well a word of advice.. I'm not a fan of the cable tranny. The gears are just so damn close.. and coming from an 01 GSR it feels so different. After I bought the p-spec tuning shift kit I've never had a problem since and don't mind the feel of the cable trans

I didn't go to 8,000 because the rev limit on the k24's is lower than k20's. I was told 7500 is a safe RPM for stock internals.

When I was N/A and did the swap we put down 209hp and 170? torque.. (don't remember torque numbers)
Now I'm supercharged pushing 315hp and 230lb torque.
The engine ran me around $2250 and misc. parts put me around $3000 give or take.

No you are wrong Try2lie. I have a k24a2 and there is no need to swap heads. You need to research more. If I had a k24a1 or k24a4 I would yes but with the a2 no need.
