Beautiful plane. Shit happens and we all make mistakes. Glad u got it fixed up. I stay away from any mixing and rely on skill, but I'm also a full scale pilot and also fly RC helicopters. Live and learn.....
i just stopped mixing rudder altogether because of this sort of thing. I'd rather have sloppy turns than stall. I think it does it much worse turning to downwind if there's any wind. Mixing is hard to know how much, it's easy to get too much.
@Jamesfromnyc An rc plane is not a toy and is dangerous in the wrong hands. This pilot can clearly be seen checking the movement of the control surfaces before releasing his plane, yet he has failed to notice the rudder. This model could have hit a fellow flyer. What if this had been a public flying display? It could have gone into the crowd.
So to answer your question it's safety first, thats why I made the comment, you muppet.
@nighthawk0077 Mixing rudder with ailerons is done to reduce the sideslip in a bank. This results a smoother, coordinated turn. Go read up more on "Coordinated turns". Hope this answers your questions. =)
@pixeldixelshizel I see, but I'd still rather control each channel independantly. For me using the mixing feature is a little like flying an Airbus and letting the computer land for you..
How could you crash THAT ?? well like that I guess... Shame.

Isn't it a basic check to make sure the control surfaces are moving correctly and in the right direction, text book stupid.

@bansheefan Why do you post comments like this? Does it make you feel like a man; little boy?

@bansheefan dude anyone who flys rc planes for a hobby has made this mistake so dont be an ass!...

That's weird. Cross controlling the airplane around the pattern with insufficient airspeed resulted in a spin. Never would have expected that.

I think it looked like it was too slow also.
O !! and I very much agree with "ricksteffey123" comment : "Never mix surfaces..." in this situation at least .............. :-)

People look at the transmitter after a crash to turn it off.

@apemantwo Not if they know what they're doing they do not.
You unplug the planes flight battery and/or reciever before powering down the tx.

why would anyone willfully mix rudder and aileron? thats a recipe for disaster, theres a reason why they make 4 channel remotes...
