Anyone take into consideration the cost difference? The ss costs 34-46000 and the m6 will run you over 100000. The camaro ss has 460hp stock and will run high 12's it also has a lighter construction than the Beamer. The 600hp only goes so far if your car weighs 2.5 tons and the other guys 460hp on only 1.5 tons. Weight is the deciding factor here. That and they are only street cars

Th M5 and M6 will both top 200 mph, and get there pretty fast. The M6 and M5 are faster stock than a stock SS camaro, but the Camaro is no slouch and is very fast. The ZL1 is a beast!

SS : 3902 / 426 == 9.15lb/hp
M5 : 4090 / 507 == 8.06lb/hp
If M5 with in P400, it's the driver (or gearing). Not sure what the SS is geared for in 1'st and 2'nd.

The Camaro on the other hand has a 6.2L V8 pumping 420lbs-ft of torque and it weighs approximately 100 pounds less. So I guess i"ll be sticking to my 35k price tag for plastic interior and a good performance over 100k price tag for nice looking car.

@hossamm3 you guys do not understand what goes on in the middle eat. a cousin of mine found work in dubai and he was living there for 6 months. he most of their cars over there are fake. they replicate cars and sell them to people. i do not know if this is the case here, but i know you cant try to buy a m6 and its actually an m3 or something even lower than that. i know one case he encountered with that i believe a guy had c63 amg sedan but it was actually a s500..they do shit like that

@danielsp9 Size is relevant when modding a car, hence "no replacement for displacement." But yes I do know that the car with bigger engine doesn't always win. I have an 06 RSX Type S with intake, header, exhaust, tune, and clutch/flywheel and it does pretty well for what it is (NA 2.0L inline four). What bimmer do you have?

@danielsp9 honestly its not massive at all. Its only a 5.0L V10. It pushes only 383lbs-ft of torque and it doesn't help that the car since it weighs almost 2 tons. The Camaro on the other hand has a 6.2L V8 pumping 420lbs-ft of torque and it weighs approximately 100 pounds less. So I guess i"ll be sticking to my 35k price tag for plastic interior and a good performance over 100k price tag for nice looking car.

Doesn't the m cost over a 100k as a luxury coupe? Camaro isn't a luxury coupe..it's just a bad ass muscle car that a lot or people can own for a little over 30 grand. Apples and oranges comparison IMO. I think a Zr1 vs m6 is a little bit closer to apples. Even a warmed over lingenfelters zr1 powered camaros would be nice.
