Thank you. I have long felt that the Book of Mormon occurred in North America. But I felt that I was about the only one who saw it. The Book of Mormon talks about the Promised Land, etc., and that the gospel would be restored there. So many textual evidences cannot be wrong. The archeologists are looking on the wrong continent!

Central and south America have nothing whatever to do with the Book of Mormon unless there is a Jaredite connection to Central or South America..

Ok, so we got one group saying the Book of Mormon occurred in North America and another group suggesting that it occurred in Central America. I am glad there are people that are passionate about defending the faith, but sometimes I just feel apologetics is too loose ended. :(

There will never be empirical evidence for the Book of Mormon until its too late or until one exercises the faith as the Brother of Jared as promised in the coming forth of the other 2/3rds of that book of books!

We know the nephite civilization ended geographically somewhere between mexico city and missoury but there are evidences that the lehi family landed in guatamalla. there are temples in the yucatan that worship itz em na, The descending god, who has holes on both his hands and on his side. he is also depicted as a blue eyed god which is contrary to the native population. There is even one temple that is believed to worship the equinox. its steps create shadows that end there cycle on april 6

Why can't it be in "America"? Who are "YOU" to tell the Lord where he should go and appear? The audacity of you people...to think you know the mind of the LORD. Did you know that when the pilgrams first landed here they thought this was the land of Eden?..that they also called many of the cities AFTER biblical cities (i.e. Salem = JeruSALEM", Carthage, Bethany, etc). WOuld you say that they were wrong when they felt moved by the Spirit to name these cities?

It did happen in America (assuming it = the Book of Mormon). No one here is telling the Lord where to appear. Yes the pilgrims thought of this land as the land of Eden, because it was understood to be. They may have been inspired and they may have named these cities also out of honor for their old world counterparts.
