The Game could run much better if ur GPU were overclocked.

I have the HP DV5-1170ep overclocked and i put all settings on High, distance view 30,etc at fix 30-40 FPS.

I made a Vid of my Gameplay, give it a look. If u wanna overclock it, only coment and ill help ya

@member4this Sure, the lifetime of a GPU is only 10 years. But i guess u wont use a laptop for 10 years of course... Ye, it overheats 5-10% more. But ,buy a an external Cooler for laptops, this will help alot. And yes, it is smart to overlcock the GPU, i had 30% FPS increase... and it is always cold. People are afraid that OC can burn your intire motherboard. YES it can, BECAUSE OF OVERHEAT..

When overclcok, you must always look at the tempurature, Every 30 min... but with a Cooler, u dont need

its hard to overklock it , because most bios have a selfsecure function , so you need a modified bios for your graphicard ask google . Besides ..it isn't a good idea to overclock . i did it on an 9600m gt by acer for far cry 2 It gets veeery hot 90 degrees that isnt good for the grapicscard and for the processor even worse and ist not the grC that can run too hot in a laptop everything has nearly the same temperature

Hi, I have similar spec, but I have a 2.26 GHz processor, I cant play this game with those graphics at all, Is there a patch or something that can fix all that lag in this game???? I currently play with everything midium but the draw distance etc less then 2% to have some decent fps. I play Fallout 3, Crysis with better graphics then this without any problems at all.

But if my laptop was downclocked I wouldn't be able to play Crysis on midium to high setting and FarCray on everything full accept AA and shadows. I read some forums and they said GTA4 was released with many buggs (PC Version) and Graphics are one of them. There are patches and a special Driver that were release for just GTA4 to fix that lag. My friend has a Quad Core with an 8800GTX 1G and 4G ram and it also Lags a lot on his system.

you need gpu-z so you can read out you bios , then you need nibitor for modifing your bios and set the clocks , and you neeed nvflash and one more , i don#t know whats its name , i overclocked my 9600m gt too and its a bad idea , because its not only the graphicscard that can run too hot ...thought about ram and cpu ?
