  • If you wanna some serious Hammond, search Cory Henry, Travis Sayles, Melvin Crispell etc

  • @Dazzer1234567

    What elegance...

  • I still love my old T-200, who cares if it's a spinet..

  • @Kropek13 I started out on an Aurora Classic spinet.... Nothing wrong with a spinet, if you plug em into a Leslie or the right guitar or bass amp with some effects, those (excuse my language) motherfuckers can SCREAM.

  • @RayManzarekGod Wow, you play pretty good :) Never really knew that I can get much more from my T series, I thought that the fact they have a transistor preamp will disqualify it from being a true beast.

Which Leslie might be good for my organ?

  • @Kropek13 Does your organ have an output on it? Alot of the spinets have a 1/4th (standard) output on them, alot of them are underneath the manuals.... But if you plug it into a tube amp, it can, in a way, work against the transistor preamp (But hey, nothing wrong with transistors! Look at the VOX Continental, Hammonds main comeptition for rock bands in the 60's, totally transistorized).

For a Leslie, I'd reccomend the 3300... Its got a tube preamp built into it! And a 1/4th input.

  • @Kropek13 Motion Sound makes some great Leslie-type amps too... Be warned all of the newer style Leslies cost an arm and a dick to buy....

  • @Kropek13 Jeez... Sorry for the comment bomb here lol... But thanks for the compliments also man!!! I just got a 1964 A100 (B3 with onboard speakers) for 100 bucks that I've been trying to bring back to life...

  • my grandmo used to play the b3 ... exactly like you do... but she did it with 93 years...

  • @Arjetube

I want to know your grandmother!!!!

  • love it, great, thanks!

  • Tremendous..thanks for sharing it.

  • This should make every organist happy!!!!!

  • Has this organ got a Bertram-case?

  • so amazing that they have this electronic version of the B3 sounding so totally authentic! great music! I was working at Hammond Organ Company back in 73-76 when the company was poorly managed and going down the drain. I'm so glad that Suzuki bought the company and gave it a new lease on life!

  • Do you also play the walking bass around 4:20 ? It's amazing. :D

  • nice. what i particularly like is being able to see your body move and your facial expressions cause i know you are feelin this, man. this is smooth. gliding...

  • 4:00 until the end is a piece of genius.

  • A tribute to organ greats like Earl Grant, and Jimmy McGriff by this very talented organist!

  • I like your stile!

    That's dreamfull playing the Hammond-Organ.

No, I mean dreamin while playing, cause of

    the wonderfull Hammond-sound.

  • You rule! And so does YouTube. What a joy it is to hear and see a master performance without any whizzing cameras to distract from the brilliance of the music. I loved hearing this performance and, even more, being able to look over your shoulder and seeing exactly what you are doing.

  • verry good, nice sound

  • que gran organo....insuperable los hammond,,

    !!!!! quisiea uno,,!!!!

  • tu.

    Vantastic playing !

  • Beautiful playing Mr. Mecheli !

  • :) Jimmy Smith...Joey Defrancesco, tony Monaco, Dr Lonnie Smith , Rhoda Scott, Eddy Louiss...etc etc....plays also new B3...you don't know?

Music is the most important, instruments are instruments...only.

  • Is this as good as the old tone-wheel Hammond? You can not really tell here.

I expect when top names like John Lord, Steve Winwood, Kieth Emerson etc start using them then it will be accepted.

  • its said that if you sit and play it you cant tell the difference between the two

  • :,)

  • I'm in my lovely house in Rome, lissening to this magic music, that reminds me one of the musicians I mostly loved when I was 18: Earl Grant.

    Congratulations to Bruno Micheli. BRAVO!!!!

  • i am hitting this from madrid (business as business is) and i love this. i was speakin to roger waters and we had come to a conclusion that nobody is writing keyboards anymore. (well, maybe) zappa was the last guy....pffft, and is still that man., mister tommy mars knew this.

  • nice man

  • None but the brave, patient, and pure in heart would open a Hammond down to the switch contacts. Much respect to you man!

  • It's not sampling, it's physic modelisation...I play with B3, newB3, XK3c, and Diversi organ (in europe diversi is keyB duo DLQ)

In live condition, nobody hear difference, important is music :)

sorry for my english...music is international :)

  • It's weird looking at this organ. It sounds like the old B3 organs, but we know this is just a reproduction and plays samples of the real thing. Sounds good, but I miss the old tone wheels.

  • thanx :)

  • Nice, Bruno! I have your care, maintenance, watch and practice DVD, really enjoy it. Also like listening to your playing. I have so much to learn but enjoy sitting at my B3 and keyboard to practice since I am retired and have the time. Keep on swinging!!

  • hello, it's a leslie tone cabinet 2101 + 2121

    Now, I play with leslie 3300 because, it's like 122 but with 300watts :)

3300 is fantastic, also with XK3c and Key B duo (dlq/diversi)

Sometime, I work with "rotosphere" .....only with new B3 (no leslie simulation like B3)

  • If I take lessuns, how many will it take to learn how to switch the organ on~ never mind play like this guy? Seriously,is this played through a rotary cabinet or straight, I love listening to the speakers running up and braking, but I`m not sure I can hear this.

Also, if anyone would like to try playing tonewheel organ for low-cost, try Native Instruments B4II software- amazing ! Then buy a Hammond!

  • Bravo Bruno. Je suis le Belge, qui t'as adresser la parole en francais a Herdeke pres de Dortmund sur le stand de Keyb. Tu te rapelle ? J'aimerait bien avoir ton e-maipour une raison commerciale. Mercy

    Karl Heinz Dannemark

  • Great playin man. Hey how bout some Deep Purple.....just a thought. Keep the B3 vids coming.

  • In Hell...there is sound like this..non-stop, never ending while they offer you cold coffee.

    "great playing, Bruno", Master says...

    :-)

  • $25K msrp???

  • Do you have new B3? because my 3 B3 don't have the same sound....and for a good opinion, it's indispensable to play in the same room with the same tone cabinet ...sound is very different with the same B3 on differents leslie:)

sorry for my bad english :) and...amitiés Bruno Micheli (hammond inside

  • I have 3 vintage B3 and 8 leslies :) and, when organists goes at home, nobody hear difference between B3 and New B3 Rhoda Scott, Eddy Louiss, Tony Monaco, Joey Defrancesco etc etc no difference.

  • sorry with all respect.... you are a great organist, but the digital b3 has nothing to do with the original. If your hear them togheter, the difference is immense!!!!

  • Absolutely CAMP! SWEET!

  • This is the classic solid Hammond-playing.Congratulation !

  • I sure wish someone would tell me what the left hand chord progression is and then the same with his right hand. This is a great video!!!

  • How much is that new Hammond? Like $25,000.??

I think I'll stick with my $1,350. dollar Nord Electro 2.

  • Beautiful!! I want a B3 Portable w/ Leslie so bad!

  • awesome!

  • The chord sequence: C, Cmaj7, C7b9 13 . F maj 9 Bb7 9 #11 would even sound better with e well played E Bass, E m b5 7 ,A 7 13 b9 etc...

  • wonderful and warm song

  • This is a NEW B-3 being produced?? Is is a real tone wheel type or is it full electronic? I HATE electronic Hammond stuff. Anthough if this is, it sounds darn good. Nothing beats the real thing, though. Oh I so want a B-3. My M-3 is fun, but without a Leslie it's just a conversation piece.

  • The fact that you have to ask that question means it does sound that good. To answer your question though, it's all electronic inside. The technology that Hammond uses on the New B3 and the XK-3 system makes it very hard for even an experienced Hammond player to tell the difference. I use an XK-3 with a Leslie during the week and a C3 with a Leslie on Sunday's. The difference in tone is not even detectable to my ears. It blew my mind that a digital organ could reproduce that tonewheel sound.

  • Thank's :)

  • Nice arrangement

  • Nice finale!

  • Nice!

  • Congrats you've made playing a Hammond appear boring. See some Barbara Dennelein vids. WAKE UP!

  • You sir, obviously know nothing about a little thing called JAZZ.

  • ignorance is bliss

  • Nice. I'm lovin it.

    Amicalement; Fabien D'Hayers

  • Thank's :)

  • This is real nice....I watch many video´s from you and waiting for your DVD....This could be an helping hand...Have a nice time...Greetings from Belgium...
