  • i prefer to do my base first then put my soldier on them

  • Do you always need to spray the model when basecoating? How should I do if dont have any spray? Can I basecoat with normal paint, like chaos black, all over the model?

  • @Kristofferr1 ye just paint with chaos black if you have it.I use black acrylic becouse I get the same results and it dosent cost alot.

  • good as men

  • good as

  • I just watched this and felt like a massive idiot. This is so much tidier than sprinkling stuff onto bases like I've been doing up to this point. >.<;

  • The lighting in these videos is bad. >_<

  • hahaha, I did the same thing!

  • can you guys reup these in higher quality?

  • IF YOUR SO CHEAP ,, y do pLAY WARHHAMMER wen its faiirly expensive hahahaha

  • i would have watered down the glue a bit, so that the glue wouldn't be all globby and make the basing uneven

  • if this was really from start to finish it would be like 8 months later he finishes

  • It took me maybe 2 months to make my first ever army, which was Tau, to about 100 points.

  • love the use of stargate theme

  • @ultramarine1234 its ... 12 year old not 12 year olds.

    and

    its your not ur.

Your spelling is worse than his.

  • you own! lol

  • @ixMarshallxi, It's: "It's" not "its"

    "12-year-old" not "12 year old"

  • olds? your grammar got pwned, lol

  • dam i bought white spray paint before watching this

  • what, undercoat? it really doesn't matter. i got black and painted my marines balck, when white would have been better. but it's up to you

  • i think using black gives it a more blakend weatherd look.

  • if you use the games workshop model, but want to add a diffrent type of head from another game, is that still legal???, like replacing a guardsman head with a head from Secret ot the Third Riech??

  • yah you could do that.

  • what ever you do dont use any repeat ANY lord of the rings warhammer bits on your 40k models it ends badly ive seen it happen

  • yes it is but you wood not be able to play it as a quard dude if you make loads of them you could but no not singley

  • just spray the sprue before u assemble the models it works way better

  • you don't have a hammerhead?

  • Give Me Some Tips For My Damemon Hunters Should put Them With Space Marines Or Imperial Guard

  • Imperial Guard, they have less bonuses against Daemons.

  • Maybe Try Adding Some Punctuation And Only Capitalizing The First Word Of Every Sentence Not Every Word And Adding Some Form Of Break In Your Statement Such As A Period Or Comma

  • Y do ppl base before priming and painting? wouldn't you get the paint on the base

  • Yes but you don't paint the base you put rocks and dirt outside or you can buy the expensive grass and other stuff.

  • yer u do have to spray they twice but you need to do touch ups with a paint pot

  • is it really necessary to SPRAY PAINT them for the base coat? is dry brushing a viable option?

  • Probably, although the spray paint would be useful if you're doing several at the same time.

  • humm brushing is cheeper and take more time but spraying is easyer and also give a texture which is way easier to paint after , i tried to basecoat with skull white on biel tan eldar and ... i didnt worked very well , grey was comming out

  • Spray painting will be cheaper in the long run if you spray multiple models at the same time.

  • if you have chaos black u can paint it on but a drybrush wont work to well

  • Are you a stoner?

  • yep

  • I like to spray them on the spures even though you can see under where you cut it, it doesn't really matter. This way you don't have to worry about the clear things for the drones.

  • The Tau are my favorite Good army, I think ill start them after im done with Necrons and Chaos.

  • I dont know why, but your voice was hypnotizing.

Good tip about going to a highway for stones, i usually just use sand from a sand bag =D

  • great vid i neva though of doin that im gonna do that 2 nite wen i paint my other space marines

  • Is it okay to spary the models then add things to the base?

  • yes but it is a better idea to do your bases before gluing down the model

  • great vid. i'm going to try the bases that way. you could do with some lighting because it's too dark to see the figure

  • great video man im going to be cheap and get dirt from my backyard lol:P

  • you can also smash rocks for sand

  • Great vids, particularly for an absolute newcomer to 40K like me.

  • howd u spray ur models and not get any on the bases

  • Usallay it dosen't matter if you get paint on your bases just paint ove it later, but if its a base either take it off of the base or just cover it with paper or what I do is get blue tac and cover all of the base.

  • just makes the miniature look more balanced

  • O.o, I´m getting firewarriors tomorrow!

  • ... This is a T'au video, not Nurgle. Besides, Nurgle suck anyway XD

  • part 4 sounds good!

  • just spray them b4 u make them its easyer

  • dude wheres the next video cmon miniwargaming

  • make more!

  • please make #4

  • i cant wait to get my space marines i wanna put so much effort and make em battle worth like the tau it will be so much fun hopefully i can get em tommorow or not 4 like 6 months *crys* i love ur vids

  • Sweet as, I'm actually going to sell my ultra marines and buy a bunch of necrons that I will spend alot of time on to actually make them look good and put them together properly (unlike my marines :P)

  • Sweet as, I'm actually going to sell my ultra marines and buy a bunch of necrons that I will spend alot of time on to actually make them look good and put them together properly (unlike my marines :P)

  • hey rocking army please please check out my vids people i am getting so desperrate

  • Did you complete 1 or 2 models yet? Maybe you can show something you allready have:)

  • paint on sprues so much easier

  • some peaple dont only try to make it so easy as poseble, but makes it look good.

  • I've been a bit curious about this, because it can get very tedious to try and paint in the little cracks etc.

I have also seen people cutting them from the sprue, then putting a small metal wire in it, then sticking the other end into styraphone (cant spell :P) and painting it from that.

What do you think is easire?

  • SPACE MARINES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ye cool baseing i have a tau army and on my fire warriors base i am going to put a space marine head and put blood all over it it going to be niccccccccce

  • i just get stones from my garden

  • same

  • Great video dude. Mind if I steal the idea and do summant similar for my High Elves?

  • notice the panit of black no becuase they could be gery and they would still look black to me so dark cant see

  • Your videos are too dark. The light is terrible.

  • woo 10th comment good job i think some fock would be good just a tiny bit

  • if u put a piece of sprue under the feet of ur model then add the dirt an rocks it makes it look like he's standing there and not sunk in the dirt. just makes it look more natural

  • hmm true but if you stand in sand, at the beach for example your feet sink a bit into it

  • can you imagine doing it with a suit of armour on that ways a ton?:P poor old space marines.

  • lol

  • if u take a lil piece of sprue and put it under ur models feet then add the dirt an rocks that way the dirt is below its feet so it dont look like he's sunk in the dirt. just another way of doing it

  • yeah dude, im with ya, its really worth it to just go outside and get some dirt than to buy a $10 tub of it

  • cool! i spray them in the sprue then just go over the areas ,i didnt get once there cut out, with a brush. very cool! just get some more lighting m'k!

  • yeah but most spray paint will EAT glue, therefore your model wont be so easy to assemble

  • oh really....hmm. fortunately the kind i use has yet to do that. thanks for the pointer though.

  • thats cool, you must have a soecial kind of paint or somethingm wish i could get some lol.

    no problem ;)

  • hmm i don't have that problem either matt, my glue eats paint lol, thats why i don't paint my models on the sprue before sticking,

  • very strange, it says on the back of most spray primers and paints that it contains *forgot the name* which is a chemical that literally eats glue

  • i don't think it says that on the citadel sprays

  • ah, probably just my primer then, i use a diff brand (actually 5 diff brands) because GWs too expensive

  • You gonna put just rocks? I think a bit of flock would look good.

  • your parents are so proud, here...a nobel peace prize for you
