I agree with meghanburke81...I'm starting the master cleanse tomarrow and have been researching it for a while now. They said you need to drink a minimum of 6 glasses to get enough calories from the maple syrup otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and it won't work.
Yeah the master lemon cleanse probably isnt for everyone! If your interested in detoxing and getting off of meat you should think of trying a vegan diet or a "raw food vegan diet". When we cook vegetables or fruit it kills all the vital enzymes, if our bodies didnt have any we would be dead! so many peole think we need protein from meat, theirs protein in many other things, nuts, avacotoes, broccoli, u can also get a lot calcium from broccoli and soy milk is really good especially for women!
hi Mandy86lynn!! i've been trying to incorporate raw foods but find myself being lazy and relying on nuts and avocados. i find broccoli bitter on its own and want to dip it in something...i think i need to get some courage to try new things and try some recipes. any tips for starting out slow?
Just keep it up, you don't have to go a 100% raw, first try going 50% not everyone can go a 100% but 50% is still really good! look into buying some raw cooking books, a dehydrator, a food processer and juicer, a juicer is great way to make juice. from the moment a orange is cut open it will start to lose vitamin C, store bought orange juices add more vitmain C that our bodies really don't recognize and fresh is always best!
I am trying the Master Cleanse now, too! and one thing that I have noticed is that it is recommended to drink 6-12 glasses a day, and since you're not hungry, you have to really make an effort. I drank 3 glasses by 1pm and realized that I would have to really make an effort just to get at least 6 in. Also, doing it every couple hours or so will help keep your blood sugar level steady. When I started to feel a little 'light,' I'd just drink another glass. Good luck!
Are you white, hispanic, or indian?
