According to the MH wiki, you first push (+) to do the driving stab, then immediately start pushing (x) repeatedly.

Diese Waffe zu meistern wird bestimmt kompliziert da hast du wohl recht ^^ aber ich denke es werden sich ein paar 2-3 evtl 4 attacken heraus kristallisieren die am wichtigsten und sinnvollsten sind .. nuya ich will diese jedenfalls meistern und ein skill vid mit dieser Waffe aufnehmen :D

I dont like the fact that it has alot of moves. Capcom should atleast add more moves to the other weapons so its fair.

They have added new attacks to the old weapons, have you seen the video for Lance? Its insane what they added to it! I dont mind that Greatsword didnt get much added, its a solid weapon as is. And of course Tachi gets more combos >.>...But the changes to Hammer look nice as well (combo combo combo!!!). Overall they did well with changing up the old ones and giving the Slash Axe enough moves to match the greatness of those that came before it.
