This is one of my ALL TIME favs from their love story, I can watch it over and over--Olivia is so mouth watering in this scene. I just thought it was AWESOME that Crystal took the characters to VENICE--it would have been great if the names had stayed the same and it was a continued story of OTALIA.

What a surprise... I'm watching this clip again. I love this clip. Something happens (besides the kiss) that is very telling. When Natalia is responding to Olivia's "they think we love each other", Natalia saying that they do love each.. in the end I think she confronts Olivia unwittingly to both of them when she says, "but I mean really Olivia, deep down..." My thought for today...

I've never understood soaps. In this clip u have a surprised (granted after the fact) Natalia who relents to the kiss. but neither woman freaks out from this kiss. Comment continued on next clip.

Actually, this & the next segment are two of my LEAST fave Otalia segments because at first Olivia is all freaked out about what people think, then afterward, when Natalia is freaking out, she's all, "Who cares what people think?" and, "N, you're overreacting." O is schizo!! LOL! IDK, maybe it was meant to show how they each were dealing w/ their changing feelings (N by denial & O by gauging N's reaction).

this show is getting cancelled its been on since what 1960 something or actually i guess was radio show before that and i dont think its because they put a lesbian kiss as you also noticed major networks just cant afford there shows to this day and are not doing too well with ratting to keep it in line. you might see other soaps alos vanish like night shift general hosptial was going for a third season and all of the sudeen crashed right when the economy hit in.

I don't know if it's me but I find that women are more "tender" at kissing than when it's a man or a woman. Also, don't you notice Women on TV don't have a problem "Kissing" each other. On a British Soap Opera called Coronation St., when two Male Characters had to kiss, one was so embarassed that they had to redo the scene over and over. The funniest thing is that Adam Rickitt who played Nick Tilsley was a Gay Icon who was on the cover of alot of British Gay Magazines.

I think that it's "more tender" because women in general put more feeling into everything. To a woman a kiss is more emotional than it is to a man. So it makes sense that when two women kiss it's (usually) more meaningful. Even if it is just to prove a point. ; }

Men actors don't like to kiss because of their egos. For women actresses, if it's part of the story, they are more likely to participate if it shows how their character feels. They might still be nervous about it though.
