I don't really find it dull. There's a lot of subtle emotion in his music. I find it more sad than dull usually. His music shimmers.

This was the first Sufjan Stevens song I ever heard. It was a recommended download back in fall of 2001 (I believe) when audiogalaxy was still around. This is easily one of my favorite songs. I've made so many cd's for friends that include it. Keep sharing.

Thanks for posting this. I'm amazed by how prolific Sufjan is. Not only are his albums chocked full of music, but he releases them fairly frequently. On top of that, there's an enormous amount of B-side material that seems as good as what's on his albums. I'm looking forward to his next studio release...
