@borneosucker Thanks. I can't wait for it to actually start growing out ofthe wall. Some pieces are already starting to poke out.
I did plant my anubais nana right into the substrate. I took them out of my 10g when i did a rescape and was hoping to get them to grow a bit more in the more intense lighting. So far it seems to be doing very well.
I hope your anubias will do well, as far as I know, the roots can be in the substrate, but not the rhizome. Coz in the video it looks like the rhizome are in the substrate, hope you are aware of that :D
@borneosucker The rhizomes are not buried in the substrate but I can see why it looks like that. The rhizome will rot if it's buried right?
The "runners" or connecting plants on the Marselia Quadrifolia however are under the substrate, well at least as many as I was able to keep under the substrate. I'm hoping that will spread out underneath the TMS and look cleaner.
@borneosucker yeah it'll definitely take some time for it to completely fill out to the way I want it but it's been growing pretty quickly so far. I'm amazed at all the new growth. In a couple of weeks I should be able to split the MQ strips again and double the growth
@animalcrazyfreak He passed away about a month ago. I had him in the temporary 5g bucket to get him away from the neons. I came back from classes one day and my roommate had the window wide open. It was in the single digits Fahrenheit. :/ I was not a happy camper. The funeral service was very beautiful.
I am however looking at getting a betta for the 5 gallon soon. I've been patrolling aquabid looking for one that i really like. I have a few prospects at the moment. I will update you all soon.
@AquaStudent Aw how sad i almost lost Jesse during a -1 degree day because my mom let forgot to close the window when i got home from school all the water on the top of his tank was frozen but he luckly managed to keep some part of it defrosted so i was happy but still scared becuase he went into shock but well R.I.P Pax Youtube shall miss you P.S good luck on Aquabid ived seen so amazing bettas on there
@animalcrazyfreak I'm glad to hear Jesse is doing well. That's really amazing that he survived a chill like that! He's a tough cookie.
I think I am going to cry. I contacted a transhipper and got the information on her prices.
The total cost of the betta and shipping is $57 ($39 If I do priority mail but I lose the DOA policy)
That's about 2 weeks worth of tutoring for me. I get my paycheck on Thursday and I definitely have the money but that seems really really steep. idk what to do
@AquaStudent do you have a link cuz that is kinda steep i have a beautiful dragon scale halfmoon and he only cost like 8 dollars and if you add shipping like 30 -35 so let me know if you think the bettas worth it
wow this looks amazing so far, are u going to add your betta to this tank with the cherry shrimp
BHBKid 11 months ago

Yeap, they will rot if buried into the substrate :( well glad you are aware of that, otherwise you will be losing the anubias.
Marsilia is kinda slow grower too :D.....it will take some time to spread.
