Anyone get the feeling that the last words of the lesson were kind of a farewell? It seemed like he was saying, "You can do it now! We're through the think of it, we've done a lot, now show me if you can do the rest on your own!"
Well, I'm going to do just that. Thanks for the 62 lessons that helped me get a HUGE start on this piece. I'll take the last 2 pages from here.
Hugh - thank you for all of this. The fact that you were determined enough to keep these lessons going and going in such depth played a part in helping to keep me a non-piano player musician determined to keep practicing and keep going too. My first reaction when I couldn't find the next lesson was "i hope he's ok!". Thanks again.
Thank you!! Your lessons have been an embodiment of elegance; making the complicated seem simple. Your teaching has not only been helpful, but full of patience and fun!
I've been playing the piano for quite while, yet never had I dreamed of mastering a classical master peace like this. I'd never bothered to learn to read music, as my ears would always help me out.
You've inspired me to train both and cause of that I've grown as a musician.
Can't say I'm blaming you for not posting more tuorials - so far we're at lesson 62 and that's a lot of videos! I doubt I would've come this far without your help, but now that I'm here I feel like I can continue on my own and hopefully complete it before long. I hope you'll pick it back up though as it's very easy to overlook important details! Thanks a million for the lessons!
Hugh this series of tutorials is amazing! ive spent that last 2 months learning this song from u and it has been great fun.. i spend like 2 hours a night playing it =D
Please please please continue with this series as i love the way u teach it and would like to be able to learn the whole song.. thanks
I learned this song several months ago on piano and have always struggled w/ these 2 particular measures and had no idea why until I saw this lesson! Turns out I've been playing some of the notes wrong and using difficult fingering also. Your video helped me correct my mistakes! Thank you so much for your time and please keep posting lessons!
please continue the tutorials!!!! thanks to your help i've been able to play i piece that i never dreamed of playing. i've been forced to learn the next 3 measures lol
Agree, where is the next lesson? I've found some of the "creative fingering" extremely useful and i'd never have never worked it out by myself. It's a great idea for a series and the tutorials are excellent. I'd rather not learn the next bit myself to then unlearn it with a better technique you'll probably provide. The music appears to require fingers and hands to cross in the next section (traditional fingering?), keen to know how best to execute the next bit in Db major again
@melishca You can visit the Resources page at the AirTurn -dot- com website and find the PDF version in the MusicReader library link. Hope this helps!
@justinming90 Thanks for the encouragement - I've been swamped with concerts lately, but I'll try to get back to filming the rest of these lesson videos as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Hi, I hope you continue on with these tutorials once you get a break; I am nowhere near getting to this point but just want you to know people are still interested in following the series!
Too bad that the guy abandoned these tutorials. Stop begging him. He's gone for good doing more profitable things. Who wont? So I decided to continue on my own. I Just recently proudly completed the remaining 30% all by myself. Thanks Hugh for the kick anyways. Wow more than 4000 views up to now. How many will completely learn this song? 20%? 10%? nah. more like 1%. This songs is the most difficult I have learned thus far. I am doing premiere arabesque and feels like is 5X more difficult !
