  • 1st main band I saw,Hitchin College '72 I think, hair down to my arse happy days! Obviously had Never Neverland great album.

  • Real Psychedelic space rock!

  • Loved the Fairies don't forget Dave "The Boss" Goodman..... Roadie Extraordinaire and all round good guy

  • Paul Rudolph. Amazing guitarist, Canadian went on to do a lot of work with Brian Eno, real hero of mine, remember having a chat with him on the steps of the roundhouse chalk farm one sunday afternoon waiting for "Implosion" to open.

Lemmy was there talking about his new band Motorhead, and someone shouted out, motorhead? Carburetor brain would be better, obviously Lemmy disagreed. 1972 happy days

  • SKONJIE

I saw the Fairies giving a free show at the Bath Festival (1970) where Led Zeppelin were appearing. The Pinks played on a flat bed lorry under the guise of 'Joe Louis & the Boxing Gloves', great great live band, also saw them play in a church in Plymouth, strange night lol, happy days.

  • i went to see them in swansea in the old hall across from the beacl patti pavilion and hawk wind was there 1979

  • This is the album version from Never Never Land. Classic album.

  • My all time favourite Fairies number, ; )

  • Anybody know where i can find the guitar tab for this?

  • Was a massive Fairies fan, saw them live lots inc a couple of Ladbrooke Grove festivals, was great when they had 2 drummers, Twink & Russ, was an amazing sound along with Ducan S's hypnotic bass lines. The sounds Paul Rudolph got from that cool Binson Echo unit were so dam good. A fews years later i did some recording with a band and to my amazement Paul Rudolph was the session guitarist. nearly fell thro the floor. They were great days, thanks guys

  • anyone know where to get cheap albums (starting to collect vinyl) ?

  • Bought this album in the early seventies.when I was on Interrail and in England. - I was on conserts an sinvce then I have been a great fan of this great band. - One of the greatest Band ever................................

    Thanks,- Ole from Norway

  • Yup The Pinks - Don't forget to boogie!

  • Great track from a great LP.

  • amazing, what a band! a blast from the past!

  • amazing! where did my album go?

  • Classic PF - an ideal accompaniment to Hawkwind of that era :)

  • The best rock track EVER! ..... well, I think so. Up the Pinks!

  • I heard they used to play for free outside of a Led Zepplin concert and that's one way they got popular. Love this band!

  • most underrated band. ever.

  • Wish I'd been there-----I'd have lost my last cell

  • Awesome Fucking Psychodelic Music!

  • Up The Pinks - hail Lord Rudolph the Black! - Keep it together!

  • :o)

  • Saw em' several times 1070-74. this was always a stand out live track. Paul Rudolph also played second guitar on Eno's Babys on fire' 74

  • I sort of remember at a gig with PF,Hawkwind and Clark- Hutchinson in 1970(CH roadie was I).That stoner circuit was something else!

  • LSD never sounded so good-------Mind Blowing!

  • Saw them at the Wake Arms Epping Forest back in '72 , incredible band. thanks for posting.

  • Up The Pinks

.Possibly the one of most influential/uninfluential bands ever.If only we'd made some money!!

Paul Rudolph.the most underestimated Rock Guitarist ever!!!

Arguaebly the band that started Punk in the sounds of City Kidz&Teenage Rebel

I'm old enough to remember this lot first time around and they were brilliant..a star shined over The Pinks....if only the Roundhouse Reunion could come off!!

  • Still stuns me every time I hear it... first heard it tripping out of my brains in a squat in Camden in '73. Hooked on the Fairies ever since...

  • Wish I'd been old enough to seen these guys, see Hawkwind a few times over the yrs, last time last ocy09 fantastic. The old Stonehenge Fests were so cool i went in 82+I think 84...great atmosphere+vibes+drugs..lol.i was a naughty kid,,still am,nothing changes

  • and all the bands played for free on the stage ladbroke grove under the fly over there good times pink fairies brilliant.

  • The 'Pinks' used to hang out with another band called Hawkwind - if you like this you'll like them too (c.'69-75) between 71-72, there was nothing better than a Pinks/hawkwind double bill.

Paul - the lead guitarist, also played for Hawkwind c 74/75.

The Pinks were one of the biker bands - the other being the Edgar Broughton Band

  • Your spot on 'britinthebronx' Pinkwind as iv'e heard them called used to play 'The Harrow Inn' in Abbey Wood (South London) in a small shed in the garden. An older friend of mine took his now wife to one of the above gigs for their first date. They married in '73'. The day The who played at Charlton F.C.

  • @britinthebronx Don't Forget The Deviants :-)

  • Cool Sound,,5 Stars.

  • i got turned on to this band by a hippy chick i used to sleep with this is the difinitive of the times and they never came to australia i think it would of blew a few people minds i love the out tro it just says everything

  • anyone know if the Glastonbury 1971 version is available anywhere? I had it but some numpty nicked my copy. It makes this version seem tame!

  • man if you find it please post it hard to believe anything heavier than this

  • likewise. Look out for The 1971 Glastonbury Fayre triple album. Legendary recording. Fairies recording has been available on CD somewhere but no longer stocked. If you find a copy, it will have been well worth the hunt.

  • this song lives up to it's title,i love the outro of this song it really kicks ass

  • there is no good music like this if there is let me know about it i cna see why they toured with hawkwind they were like minded and kindred spirits
