I was probably 6 my older bro got GBC and pokemon red. Then afterwards I bought pokemon yellow like a week after it's release at the same time I got dragon warrior monsters.
Currently I found pokemon Diamond harder than any other pokemon game XD. I was able to complete the first half of crystal in 8 hours when I was 8/9, Ruby took me like 5 weeks or so. Also fire red took me 3 days to complete (I used to play a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening).
I've had it since 07 but never completed diamond, I've clocked around 20 hours or so and I've got like 3 or 4 more badges left (At the lake part were it's dried up) also some gyms are way stronger and then the next gym is weak. There are pokemon that are level 40 and mine are like 33-36.Leveling up used to be easy now its just like a chore

The Pokémon games are near perfect, but the TV show's what ruining the whole thing. Thanks to the TV show people think it's a kiddy game. If people can play World of Warcraft (which is shit), then why can't they play Pokémon? So much better.

I think they are good rpgs, but I think they could be even better if they just got out of the repetitive nature of the games. You don't see final fantasy doing the same thing everytime.

When I was about 6 years old, I heard about Pokemon. Now, I had an NES, so I didn't hear about handheld gaming at all. I got a GBC from my sister that year, and the first games I got were Tetris DX, Link's Awakening DX, and Pokemon Silver. I since got into Pokemon, and the rest is history.
I havn't played the newer pokemon games, but my first was red. I put many many hours into it. My most played Pokemon game was sapphire which I probably put hundreds and hundreds of hours into. Seriously I was addicted..

I got mine when I was 4 I got Pokemon Red along with a GameBoy Color as well as a N64 and Pokemon Stadium. I have to say I love the Handheld Games. The Consoles games I like but no were near as much as the handhelds. They could have done so much more work into putting a story into the games. Now the gamecube games are awesome, Great Story, Great Battle System, Infact even talking about the games now makes me wanna play Pokemon Coliseum.

(Counting the ones with the same characters, but different names.) Now, I am over Pokemon, I find it childish. I don't have a problem with people that like it.

I've got some solo-challenge videos up for Blue, Silver and Ruby (Char[volution], Scizor and Snorunt respectively... although the latter is still ongoing, since it's insanely hard).

Got a game boy advance for my birthday with sapphire.
Got a game boy advance sp special ruby edition with ruby.
I was really excited that the remake of red and blue came out so i bought it.
The ds came out and i bought it.I got pokemon dash.
When diamond came out i was the most excited in my life so i got it!
Then i got pearl but it broke in half:(.
And the mystery dungeons all of them!!!
And finally platinum.

When I was about 6 years old, I heard about Pokemon. Now, I had an NES, so I didn't hear about handheld gaming at all. I got a GBC from my sister that year, and the first games I got were Tetris DX, Link's Awakening DX, and Pokemon Silver. I since got into Pokemon, and the rest is history.

I havn't played the newer pokemon games, but my first was red. I put many many hours into it. My most played Pokemon game was sapphire which I probably put hundreds and hundreds of hours into. Seriously I was addicted..

I have played everyone of the 4 generations of pokemon. My favorite game I would play on my GBA would be Pokemon Silver until Ruby came out. My favorite pokemon game currently is Silver.

Im not hating on anyone, I am not going to make fun of anyone BUT, POKEMON has to be the most retarded thing that ever caught popularity (that and yu-gi-o). Maybe it is because i was in elementary school in the 80s, jr high early 90s, and high school mid to late 90s. Like I said, I am not hating and some of ya youngins will prob think thundercats and transformers (g1 anyway) and TMNT suck but yea, I LOATH pokemon and think it/them to be retarded as hell. I HAD CARD BATLE GAMES!!!

in about 1998 i know im young but i was 2 and i started to play my sega.....about a few months later my parents got me a gameboy color with pokemon blue and because i wasnt in school i played it alot. i love pokemon and when i get a dsi...i sold my ds lite im going to get a DSi with platinum. that is my pokemon story......

The first video game i ever played was pokemon yellow and I have loved pokemon ever since. And I do agree the tv show ruined it. I never really liked the card game anyway.

I got mine when I was 4 I got Pokemon Red along with a GameBoy Color as well as a N64 and Pokemon Stadium. I have to say I love the Handheld Games. The Consoles games I like but no were near as much as the handhelds. They could have done so much more work into putting a story into the games. Now the gamecube games are awesome, Great Story, Great Battle System, Infact even talking about the games now makes me wanna play Pokemon Coliseum.

pokemon red was not only my first game ever but also taught me to read
i probably put about 200 hours into that game. i never got gold silver or crystal, i got emerald and to this day i think thats the worst pokemon game in the main series the i got pearl put about 100 hours into that has to be my second favorite next to red . never got the reamakes i got the nintendo dsi cuz my old ds broke and im getting platium for easter

i was 4 years old and i wanted a gameboy since all my friends had them. i got it and played it for a while and played it until i got pokemon gold which completely changed gaming for me i was absolutely sold because it had 2 worlds the one from gold and red/blue. i would do anything to play it again guru where did u get the emulator and game

Gold was the best for me i think.. I played it more than the others...
I use to play the card games and everything
Pokemon seems for kids now.. but looking back on it.. it was great games with great times with my friends

I first bought Red at a flea market cuz my friend had it and i loved it so i had to have it. Later on I bought yellow, and I loved that one too. A couple years later I got silver, then lost it. I was pissed. The same friend and me both collected the cards, but never played the card game, just collected. All of the Pokemon shows sucked. (Counting the ones with the same characters, but different names.) Now, I am over Pokemon, I find it childish. I don't have a problem with people that like it.

i started out with saphire in like... 4th grade. I LOVED IT!!! then i went to leaf green(witch i lost)!! but anyway i love pokemon and i think i always will!

Pokemon was initially released on the GBC in '97. That's also when I got Pokemon Blue.
118 hours on Pokemon is a fair amount for me... for one save file that is. I put well over 600 on Yellow alone (over multiple files that is).
It's ironic how the show ruined the series, when the show's based on the merchandise, which is based on the cards, which is based on the game.

I think anyone who checks my channel will be able to tell that I still like the games. By combining my solo-character challenge knowledging from typical JRPGs, which one of the best original series' ever made (although some may argue that it is a /Monster Rancher/ rip-off....) I've got some solo-challenge videos up for Blue, Silver and Ruby (Char[volution], Scizor and Snorunt respectively... although the latter is still ongoing, since it's insanely hard).
