  • Another creation one of creation records finest

  • Rat Bikes, Sport Bikes, Super Bikes.. hehe

  • Well I love SWD, and I think aside from lack of audio quality in this vid, the reason Adams voice tends to go flat is that they play at incredible volume, and although there are monitors he doesn't hear himself well. I don't like my music too loud, but I love SWD, and his songwriting is superb.

  • Epic..

  • Essa musica faz parte da minha vida ! Sinto algo inesplicavel qdo escuto ela !

    Puta classico

    ROAD RASH ( 3DO) FOREVER

  • Wow awesome - thanks for sharing. They're my fave band of all time...

  • LIfeless???Swervedriver???No way this band is all heart and soul.If they have an off night i'd still love the show.this band was incredilbe period

  • pow cara essa música me ajudou a virar roqueiro, eu curtia ela jogando road rash com uns 12 anos (1998) e ainda curto até hoje esse som... very good music! is classic for me... =D

    congrats!

  • Procura por "last train to satansville" aqu ino youtube. Vc vai se relembrar da infancia também, te garanto.

  • I think he was too intent on gazing at his shoes.Brilliant track on the original though - the best of its gentre

  • I am so let down at this version of the song. The singer sounds like he'd rather be watching TV. It's just dull and lifeless.

What an injustice to one of my VERY favorite songs by ANYONE.

Don't get me wrong - I love Swervedriver and I love this song. I just think this version is lifeless.

  • Maybe he's just tired.

  • Nah i totally agree! i flew to the otherside of Australia to see him last year and he was a washed up joke!

A drunk ripoff 'Artist' and basically ended up running off stage coz he fucked his ending so bad from being drunk.

Ruined every awesome opinion i held for the guy!

And i thought his talent must of disappeared after he cut his dreadies off.

This is a kick ass adam franklin compared to what i saw!

  • @somedudeinva It's pretty tough to arpeggiate chords like that while singing.

  • @confoozled3737 That may be true... just saying... I consider this version a let-down compared to the original, which is one of my very favorite songs by anyone, anywhere.

  • @somedudeinva I agree that it's not the best performance, but every band gets tired. You know? There's another live video of Duel on swdfan's channel that's pretty awesome, though. It's pretty tough to be as consistently awesome as Swervedriver was. This stuff is tough to play live, and what they could pull off was impressive. Have you seen Adam Franklin's pedal setup? It's nuts.

  • i have no idea what road rash is, but if it turns U onto great bands then it"s supercool... go buy My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" now DO NOT ARGUE it will change your life

  • Burnout Paradise for the win!

  • road rash, do ya mean, amirite?

  • Never played it. I want to though.

  • 'one slip and you tumble down...' lalala :P

    whatta song!!!!!

Road rash is one of the best video games ever!

  • ROAD RASH THE BEST!!!

  • Road Rash changed my life, it was the only video game I have seen anyone buy just for the music

  • yep i totally agree i loved it

  • Oh totally. I hated metal and rock back when I was a kid but Road Rash's sound track really was great to me. It was the soundtrack that had me liking metal.

  • you're a fucking awesome dude.

  • Haha it's true!

  • The band that should have been HUGE. Regardless, one of the best of the very best.

  • Totally, totally agree! Mescalhead is one of the greatest albums never heard. Should be in everyone's collection!

  • you are nearly right, raise is the monument

  • Impossible, because they didn't have catchy tunes and really long hair...haha!

  • ROAD RASH RULES ! :D

  • A truly great band.

  • awesome band awesome song

  • wow luv this song, but soundin aweful live :/

  • Whos Cousin. Oh yeh! Mine! I spent new years eve wit him ;)

  • Road rash!

  • walking out on another good band, or in many cases any unknown band is a dumb thing to do. It doesn't prove anything.

  • u have got to be kidding??!!

  • Saw these guys last night in T.O. Good sound but they did not play long enough. Wish they played this song too. Still worth going though.

  • seeing swervedriver blow the smashing pumpkins off the stage as their openers back in 93 was one of the highlighs of my concertgoing career. people actually LEFT when the pumpkins came on!

  • Hell yeah. I was one of those guys heading out the door after Swervedriver finished their set.

  • you've got to be kidding. I would have gladly traded places with you. man to walk out on the Pumpkins during thier prime. ouch!

  • it was hard to be blown away by nirvana in 89when you were listening to the pixies in 86!

  • It's hard to be blown away by the pixies when you were listening to Husker Du in 83!

  • It's hard to be blown away when you're a tree. Long live good music. :-)

  • Dude...I got tickets to see them in May!! SOOOOO STOKED!!

  • Ahhhhh....yes, a reminder of a time where there were more badass bands than you could count. Back when you didn't have to play drop D one-finger power chords and scream to be considered badass. I sorely miss REAL rock.

  • I aggree. The true badasses- except nirvana.... Though drop D screaming is always fun.

  • their still under the radar a bit, but cool people know about them....shhhh only tell your cool friends

  • come to boston in 2008. i love you!

  • Saudades de Road Rash, muito bom!!!

  • I was in the moshpit at this show! I think The vErve and James played too. It was filmed for a TV show that Gary Crowley presented. Called The Beat i think.

  • so underrated. These guys and polvo stateside.

  • Perfect. That's it. The Jazzmaster tone sets it straight.

  • love this sing since Road Rash.. wow i love it.

  • I love the Swervies, really. This is one UK band that the US just did not get for some reason. Sadly, though, Adam's live vocals are consistently off key and make it hard for me to want to see them live.

  • whatever dude just cuz its not auto-tuned bullshit doesn't mean its bad. cobain never sang on key either. and swerve is way better than nirvana.

  • i agree...adam's laid back dylanesque vocals really distinguised them.

  • I totaly agree with the first part. Fuck auto tune, I rather they show what they really sound like, thats a real artist, it takes more guts. Kurt Died on this date today btw

  • It will be interesting to see how he sounds on this latest Swervedriver tour because it seems to me that he has polished up both his playing and his vocals doing solo stuff over the years. His voice was very pure the last time I saw him live.

  • I really hope they play astoria in ther reformation tour 2008.

  • much thanx for uploading ANY and ALL video footage of Swervedriver! Hands down THE best guitar layers and cerebral sounds made since Hendrix. A long time fan, haven't seen them or Adam since they played New Orleans with Smashing Pumpkins in 92 or 93. Didnt know they were even on the bill! what an awesome suprise. will never forget that show! Raise will never lose that feelin from my mind. Jesus loves the Swervies!

  • My favourite ever guitar band! Awesome power and melody!

  • my goodness...where did you get this? this is awesome!! thank you so much for posting this!

  • oh, and i spose you think he's overplaying at the 2:18 mark.

he's just doing what he does best

  • jez rules. their music changed after RAISE and i think for the better. i know how it sucks when things get messed with, but without Jez, we wouldn't have had Mezcal Head, Ejector Seat Reservation or 99th Dream in such perfect form.

and hey, that ARE a pop band afterall

  • For those who don't already know they ARE coming back and doing a world tour in 08. Look it up....

  • i LIKE ABOUT FROM VENEZUELA!! GRUGER FANS!!

  • If someone were to ask me what was one of the most unique and talented rock bands of the 90's. I would have to say: Swervedriver!!!

Without a doubt, these guys knew how to rock! I saw them live in Toronto for Mezcal Head tour campaign. To this date, one of the most memorable rock concerts I've been to.

    Jesus ama a los Swervies

  • ooooh!! Wish I was there! Can't believe it is over. Please come back!

  • the drummer is crap. overplays all the time. saw them in dunedin nz, he totally ruined sandblasted which has a very particular bass drum beat at the end of each vocal line. jez managed to turn it into your average poppy manchester beat. bring back graeme, well it's too late for that now ain't it.

  • Downloaded these Astoria tracks long ago - nice to see the vids too. Thanks much!

  • the best !!!!

  • Absolutely dogs nuts - thanks for hosting this

  • good song from venezuela confratulations!!

  • Rocking number. Was at this concert.

  • awesome !!!! i think i just had an orgasm :)

  • The have good talent.

  • fucking amazing.

  • Que hermoso ver a los Swervi en el london astoria, gracias por ponerlo thankkkkksss!!!!!!!
