I love anime and amv's mmv's etc. I even make them myself but they have to remove those videos couse of copyright. yes I think that sucks but I can understand why. It also makes it harder for the copyright owner to make money if everyone is watching their stuff for free and Youtube can get sued too.

I don't know about AMVs and MMVs, (whats a MMV) which should be allowed, but I do know that parodies, youtube poops (which are parodies in and of themselves) as well as things such as reviews ARE allowed by fair use policy.

I think that there is only one thing that doesn't qualify under fair use, and that is the people that just post the show itself, without removing or changing anything other than commercials(even in 2 or 3 different installments). Unless it has actually become a joke in and of itself(over 9000 being one example of this.)

Hardly anyone makes a profit out of their anime spoofs, AMVs, parodies, etc. It's all just for fun, and even promotes the series, all FOR FREE. I remember when I read that some 15-year old kid from Australia filed a fake copyright claim that got all of the "Chaser's War on Everything" videos removed. They found him anyway and the The Chaser made jokes about it later.
I definitely agree with you and I'm an anime fan myself. But there are some reviews to this video that say they can't watch some anime episodes anymore. Well that's not true you sould just look for sites that only view anime series.
We can't really blame YouTube. Still sucks though. Because of KADOKAWA, I can't watch the 8th episode of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Only way we can see a non-blocked episode is if the company is nice enough to upload the episode on YouTube (like with FUNimation & the "Ouran High School Host Club" series).

those companies that are suing for copyright have aright to their stuff but at the same time they need to chill out with their suing all these AMV's parodies and such its kind of free advertising for their anime and the music too free advertising for that too ^_^ people will go and then buy it or downloaad it and buy the anime or buy the bands products

youtube hates anime? i love anime but i agree with animemeantal1 (thumbs up!). but there are ads on youtube like at the top of the webpage when you are watching videos and they have a little add that says "anime on "youtube" so i would figure they would like anime.

I remember when I read that some 15-year old kid from Australia filed a fake copyright claim that got all of the "Chaser's War on Everything" videos removed. They found him anyway and the The Chaser made jokes about it later.

I definitely agree with you and I'm an anime fan myself. But there are some reviews to this video that say they can't watch some anime episodes anymore. Well that's not true you sould just look for sites that only view anime series.

We can't really blame YouTube. Still sucks though. Because of KADOKAWA, I can't watch the 8th episode of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Only way we can see a non-blocked episode is if the company is nice enough to upload the episode on YouTube (like with FUNimation & the "Ouran High School Host Club" series).

Well, since you vid made a good point instead of random talk about why people hate somthing or what not.... well my point of view is that the whoever copyrights the work should let the first, at least 2 episodes on youtube. that way, if someone likes it, they go and buy the dvd or become a fan and watch it when posible. at least its a win win or somthing.

Anime is like a cartoon , but the drawstyle is different and way more detailled. anime is also in most cases from asia , and derives in some cases of a manga ( like a comicbook) for example dragonball and dragonball z these are both animes , but they also have there manga's wich the show is based on.

those companies that are suing for copyright have aright to their stuff but at the same time they need to chill out with their suing all these AMV's parodies and such its kind of free advertising for their anime and the music too free advertising for that too ^_^ people will go and then buy it or downloaad it and buy the anime or buy the bands products

I agree with wehrmachtR because AMVs give me the best animes that I watched!! Mo0on12, MyVampireEyes, UsagiMoonPower, and many more users have AWESOME AMVs but it still gets deleted!!
