@dee74raz I thought so. This was the era when it was called "1FM". By the way I think you've uploaded the video wrong - the aspect ratio is 16:9, however the original video is 4:3. Everyone looks a bit fat lol

@PrivateEyeFan2011 I put it on 16:9, because I don't like black bars on the left and right hand side of the screens. YouTube should provide an option where videos can be seen on either 4:3 or 16:9. I know some video sharing websites have that facility, but I'm afraid YouTube doesn't have it !!!

Oh i love this advert. What TV channel was this on specifically (or was it both BBC1 and 2). Oh and i love the ending - it's like an ident if BBC Radio 1 were ever on TV.

@BringItBackITV This was on BBC1 ! I would be surprised if it was on BBC2, because BBC2 viewers are mainly into items that are traditionally found in Radio 2, 3 and 4

hmm, in 92, had Mayo taken over the late morning slot? I have a feeling Simon Bates was still on until 93, but guess he was 'too old' to be on this advert. happy days indeed. Great to see Jakki. It was a great loss to Radio 1 when she left. She used to do a great feature called Sad, Mad Addicted corner which swapped tips on computer games.

@leepenfold This was Chris Evans first appearance for Radio 1. He lasted for several months, then concentrated on TV work and then returned back to radio 1 in 1995 until he left again in 1997. Now he works for radio 2 !!!
