no the max is 2GB i will get 1GB more and a 320GB Wd scorpio on 7 January

I played Project Torque, from Aeria Games, and my Acer Aspire 5315 lagged like crazy. So I upgraded from 1gb to 1.5gb of Ram. The game still lags. If I get 2gb of ram, will i see a difference in performance?

That being said, I have the exact same laptop and was looking for this so thanks man! lol. I see you also bought just the one 1GB stick. So it doesnt matter if its not a matching pair then? Cuz I didnt wanna waste money and buy two when I already have one.

Also is there any way to "test" the RAM after? Ive never installed anything like this but have heard its easy so wanna try. But Ive also heard you should test it somehow. Thoughts?

it dose not matter if the ram sticks are not a matching pair just not over 2 gigs in total which sucks :(

the only way that i could think of to test the ram is to go into computer and at the bottom of the window will say the processor speed and the amount of memory installed

Yeah I read about the 2GB thing too. For me I think 2GB SHOULD be enough but i suppose time will tell.

And I checked the My Computer Properties and it showed up as 2GB right away which was great. But I had heard something else about having your computer run some program for a few days to check for errors or whatever but its probably nothing.

This was easier than expected and my computer runs so much faster now! Such a good idea not to waste money paying someone to do it for me! lol

oh your welcome mn5044 as you could see it was supper easy but the thing that i thought that was very depressing was that it wont support anything more than two gigabytes but with windows vista home basic it is pretty fast still do you have any clue how to down grade vista to xp cuz mine keeps crashing pleez write back Googlelover606
