there are minarets in Romania. They look nice and those mosques are historical monuments essential to our history. But if you ban crosses from the top of the churches I would not care about that, honestly. again, not understanding basic verses. This is in general for the people living at the time. not for the prophet. Islam always encourages people to do things right. People at that time had slaves. Instead of stating a law, Islam encouraged the masters to free slaves. Stating a law would be a fight against people who owned the slaves. Which would not benefit anyone. If it wasnt for Islam, slaves would've existed until the16th century.

Ibn Kaldun wrote 1377 that negros have little that is human (go to the library if you want the exact wording). Ibn Sa'd's "Tabaqat", gives a clear description of Muhammad having "relations" with at least one of his slave girls. Muhammad had sexual relations with Mariyah, his Coptic slave. Mariyah and her sister, Sirin were slaves given as gifts to Muhammad. Muhammad gave Sirin to Hasan Thabit, the poet. Ibn Sa'd says that Muhammad "liked Mariyah, who was of white complexion, with curly hair and pretty." [Taken from Ibn Sa'd's "Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir" (Book of the Major Classes), p151].

On the day when it was her turn to be with the Prophet, she said, "Do you know, O Allah's Apostle, that I have manumitted my slave-girl?" He said, "Have you really?" She replied in the affirmative. He said, "You would have got more reward if you had given her (i.e. the slave-girl) to one of your maternal uncles."

Vol. 7-#344 Narrated Anas: "Allah's messenger went to the house of his slave tailor, and he was offered a dish of gourd of which he started eating. I have loved to eat gourd since I saw Allah's messenger eating it." This Hadith shows that another one of Muhammad's slaves was a tailor. #346 gives additional details.

First of all, you need to understand some basics about Islam. The sources of Islam are Quran and Hadith. Mostly from Bukhary and Muslim. So if you want to quote something do not quote an obscure book, just quote me verses directly from the quran or a hadith. and yes slaves did exist at that time and Islam encouraged people to free slaves. Some of the early Muslims were slaves anyway. However, Mohamed never had a slave. So if you qanna quote, quote something credible.

There is no tradition of slavery in Switzerland. But arabs sure appear slaves to their arab masters from a western perspective. Don't confuse with secular tolerance with christendom. Turks are secular as the (mostly) the rest of Europe. But for the rest - I advocate taxing muslims in western countries heavily in exchange for letting them practices their religion.
