I totally agree! I believe there a certain (albiet few) that auto tune can be a good tool (studio) to correct blurbs or out of tune instrument if musician pulled a string a little too far and sharps the note. Maybe conservatively on rare occasions when vocal pipes struggle due to environment changes or recovering from illness. But to use as an adjunct or tool to make a bad or really bad singers sound good 100% opposed! I've recently heard famous artists sound horrible with autotune help

@africkinamerican Yeah, people don't get the point of this video. Live, real music isn't automated, isn't perfect. I've actually seen Emii perform live (this is definitely NOT representative of how amazing she's become) and her range is even bigger (look up Emii Magic or research her old projects). I love that she can poke fun at auto-tune in a geeky creative way too. She's on her way up.

@willd471 there are rare singers who sound as legit on their music videos as live. like natasha bedingfield and adam lambert. most singers don't sound as good as their music videos as they are live. Emii is alright. She sounds too hard rockish right there. if she was doing some other song like maybe mr romeo or a softer song she would have sounded better. who knows though. but i got the point she was trying to make.

@frogbarnstudios Not through my speakers, at least not most of the time. She went flat a few times in the more difficult lower register. She has a beautiful tone, power and I'm hearing a nearly 2-octave range here At least she's actually singing, not syncing or hiding behind a track.

As much as I agree with you (and I do) - Unfortunately your video says it all...

PEOPLE (The general public) are to ignorant or uninterested in talent (Natural) that they are only interested in an attractive (interesting or charismatic ) artists and what is ultimately produced for the record. this is why PRODUCERS (not artists) such as timberland can PRODUCE a record which they have PRODUCED (he did perform a little but it was just his auto-tuned voice and some talking) - people dont care!!

life's not fair to entertainers. auto tunes gives entertains born w/o a special talent a chance to do what they love. folks know what auto tunes is, i dont think anyone is being "tricked". they like their preformer for more than just their voice. that being said, you do have a great natural talent, and though life isnt fair, if you keep at it, one day you COULD have a big break and get discovered.

I think your just going to have to accept the fact that people are going to choose whoever they personally feel is the most entertaining. To me it is not relevant whether your voice is generated by your vocal cords or a computer program. While l do appreciate the talent of singers whoever entertains me is going to get my attention. Some people can sing quite loud without a microphone and some can't so I guess you should get rid of a microphone as well.
