@gomezgomas You're right. Now remember. Limited to gun ammunition, shotguns and grenades. Unlimited for the submachine and semiautomatic. It makes no sense ... :)
I think it's confusing about this virus in d.2 it doesn't make any sense. Like a butterfly just came out of that flight attendant's eye. Or like later bosses in the game they'll explode and turn into a bunch of birds. I mean if this virus had a name it would be the wtf virus. XD
Oh my god I remember the first time I saw this boss... I beat her, but when those spider legs sprouted from the back of her head I turned the system off. I didn't go back to the game in about two years, with the mindset that I'd seen it all. The face splitting thing caught me off guard, but it wasn't as scary as I'd thought it could be.
Then again, the game scarred my brain as a child, so I guess I have a right to be creeped out.
the dreamcast rules in all ways, graphics, all the games are full color, fun , creativity, really the dreamcast is amazin, the last console that bring me fun , now all are graphics and controllers with motion, but 0 ideas for new games , dreamcast forever will be a FUC,,,Klng living leyend !!
How in the name of god did Sega not think to put a second analogue joystick on the DC controller? A single analogue joystick significantly limits the playability of certain genres of games, namely FPS and 3PS.
@SupermarketsRevil lol in that times the fps are exclusive for pc, and i play fps using buttons (X) left (Y) front (B) right (A) back and the analoge for move the mirror and the trigers for shoot you know ? the game outriger?? cans play super fast with this controller ! xP
The DC controller was the first gamepad with pressure-sensitive buttons and a built-in screen. How much more innovation do you need? It doesn't take a genius to figure out you're talking shit.
@Jagged85 Pressure senstivity is not much good when the games dont utilise it. There were3 vmu games and the battery lasted 3 minutes. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that the DC controller was only slightly less of a trainwreck then the N64 controller.
No offense, but I think your whole argument is a trainwreck. First you make anachronisms, then make false claims about innovation, and now a "trainwreck"? Regardless of what you may think, the N64 and DC controllers were highly acclaimed and considered revolutionary in their time. Sure they might not hold up all that well to today's standards, but that's like saying the NES controller sucked and lacked innovation just because it's outdated today, which would be ridiculous.
@Jagged85 Sega had enough history to draw from with the dualshock adbn the n64 controller. They should have created something similar to the dualshock2 design, derivatives of which are standard on ps3 and 360 today.
You're supposed to make things better with time, not worse.
The only dual-stick gamepad before 1998 was the DualShock, which was never used for FPS games back then, therefore there was no precedent to draw from. At the time, the extra stick just seemed like a useless gimmick, kind of like how many view motion controls today. There was nothing up until 1998 to indicate that dual sticks would ever be used for FPS games. And even if the DC did include it, what difference would it make when Sega already quit from consoles by 2000?
@Jagged85 Sega should have made the effort to apply the new technology in the best possible way. Clearly FPS games were a huge part of the industry, they should have made the effort to make FPS playable. Instead we get a completely unplayable setup. Not to mention they could have updated the controller is per the psx to something more suitable when they decided to pay attention. Their apathy and failure to innovate caused their downfall. A deserved one for that reason.
Sega was by far one of the most innovative companies the gaming industry has ever had. Anyone with even an ounce of knowledge about their history would know that. Just the Dreamcast alone was responsible for online console gaming (used in all consoles today), pressure sensitive controls (used in all racing games today), built-in controller screen (which the Wii 2 will use), and plenty more innovations. If anything, it was Sega's experimental innovation that was its downfall.
@Jagged85 Far from it.PC has always been at the forefront of online gaming and if it didnt make it to consoles with the DC it just woulda appeared somewhere else, doenst take a fucking genius to whack a shitty modem on something.Only retards use the buttons for racing, only in arcade games like GTA. SIms use Dual analogue. The controller screen was fail and poorly executed.. What else was there apart from a shitty controller and a waste of money proprietary storage medium.
Without the Dreamcast, there would never be any Xbox Live or PSN. Both these services ripped-off most of their ideas from the Dreamcast. The Xbox and PS2/PS3 also ripped-off their pressure-sensitive buttons from the Dreamcast, while the Wii 2 is ripping-off the Dreamcast's built-in screen. And regardless of how much you hate the DC controller, most of the critics and gamers back in 2000 praised the DC controller. These are the facts, no matter how much you deny it.
And for the record, FPS games were playable on the DC in the same way GoldenEye 007 was for the N64. At the time the DC was released, GoldenEye 007 was the golden standard for console FPS games and the DC controller was perfect for that style of FPS gaming. This was many years before dual-stick FPS games like Halo or COD had ever existed. Stop trying to anachronistically project today's standards onto the past, which is an irrational and ridiculous thing to do.
@Jagged85 There was no excuse for Sega not implementing dual analogue. It meant you couldnt play any fps titles on the system. Even the god awful N64 Controller was better - the DC didn't have enough input options, it was a step backwards. They wanted to try to skim by with cheap arcade games, instead of proper more comphrehensive titles. And the few adult titles that did make it on played like a dogs breakfast. They tried to ull a wii n sell only shitty games but faileed on the business side
What nonsense is this? The N64 only had one analog stick, but that never stopped GoldenEye 007 from being considered the greatest FPS game of the era. No one ever used dual analog for FPS games until 2000, two years after the DC released in 1998. It wouldn't make any difference at all to the DC's performance. And regardless of how much you hate the DC today, most of the critics & gamers back in the day praised the DC. This is a fact, no matter how much you deny it.
@Jagged85 Clearly you missed the part where I said the DC lacks input options. The N64 confroller also had enough buttons for such a basic FPS, DC did not. I don't hate the DC. I actually really like it. It's just that it had the potential to be so much better.

@MysteryEzekude Meh, it wouldn't be the same if the original director wasn't part of the team. It was his visionary approach to gaming that made these games shine.
@MysteryEzekude Does Raimi even make games? :/ Anyway, I did read that the original director of D is still in the gaming industry (his new company's name is From Yellow to Orange), making games for Wiiware and iPhone, so there might still be some slim hope for another D game, but the director hates Sony due to them screwing him over in the past so it would probably be a Wii or Xbox360 exclusive.
