You shouldn't call this a tutorial. It was just a showing of the filters feature. what I wanted to see was, step by step making a movie with seperate scenes, including transitions and titles and backround music and maybe a voice over. THAT would be a tutorial. This was not helpful at all. I can tell you like the program, why not take a little time and make a real tutorial? THAT would help ME very much. Remember, a tutorial has steps and an objective. Try it, please!?

When I go to the Video drop box of VirtualDub it doesn't show my capture card below the BT8X8 Tweaker, even though the drive is installed.

try and convert the file to a DV Digital Video first. A good free piece of software to use to convert a big range of media files is SUPER by Erightsoft. Google it

I think i have learned a lot of Virutal Dub, file compression, filters.

But what about the most basic stuff? like cutting / seperating your clip in half, adding multiple clips together in one video etc.

i just looks like Virtual Dub cant do these things, and that its only made for compression and editing the actual clip.
