For one, Raul played it just fine on the head out. Secondly, Frank would never play with a guy, or share a stage for that matter, that didn't have his shit together.
i love the video and rosolino! im sorry but i cannot stand that raul guys playing. And it doesnt help him when he has to follow someone as great as frank
RRenatoLLandim, I appreciate your effort to share such great stuff with us, but you need to check out your setup. Both this video and the one of Rosolino playing 'Loverman' exhibit the same irritatingly unpleasant, high-pitched buzzing noise. It makes them unlistenable. Given that the original recordings were of two entirely separate shows, I can only assume that the problem lies with your equipment.
I don't think by any means that Mr. Rosolino's life was a "sad affair" as exjazzbassbaz seems to think. Granted it wasn't full happiness all the time, but please read what his friends and relatives have to say about him, here as well as other places on the internet. No one knows for certain whether he shot his sons and himself or not. Maybe we never will. I thank God for sending us such a trombone talent and that what he should be remembered for. He was very funny, outgoing, and humble.
Vi ao vivo este show. Clássico. Grande Frank, Grande Raul !!!!!!!
VIVA !!!

圧倒的トロンボーン名手の競演、西海岸の旗手フランク・ロソリーノ、要ブラジリアン、ラウル・ジ・スーザ、艷やかな"星影のステラ"~絶品! #jazzm

Raul De Souza plays a G natural over the Ab7 chord where there should be a D in the melody. Sorry to say that he does not know this tune.

I hate comparing musicians as these greats like Frank, Kai Wynding
J J Johnson and many more all have there own unique tone and style
and they make me feel so good when I listen to them.
