  • haha this is over-dramatic, but I like it haha :-P

  • She is truly an angel made of flesh and bones and blood....... SHE IS OUR SPECIAL AND UNIQUE GIFT DOWN HERE - SENT TO US BY GOD, DIRECTLY FROM HEAVEN.....:-) SHE IS THE MOST PRECIOUS FEMALE SINGER ON EARTH! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, DEAR TORI! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!!!!!!! AMEN.

  • wow she realy likes that chair....if u no wat i mean

  • Or should I say in my heart?

  • This song is still in my head after two decades!

  • A portrait of a beating heart.

  • I hope you also like my cover of this beautiful song...

  • Comment removed

  • My dad just passed away a few days ago and every time I hear this song I cry a little bit. My dad and I would argue always about stupid stuff but we loved each other. It snowed twice the day he died and it was a quite a bit of snow, a very fitting song indeed.

  • BRILLIANT, BEAUTIFUL AND FANTASTICCCCC... thanks for posting.

  • i have that cd, its sooo old. But i wish they had a new version of the cd. Its all scratched up.

  • i dont find her particularly sexual , however her music i find very beautiful and touching.

  • lovely!

  • Bello, inspirador y lleno de la alma única Tori.

  • @andwherethenutsgrow so god gave you few millions of nuts, but not acouple of cells to exend your tiny, small brain! just eat your nuts and shut the fuck up, poor little boy!

  • Love her. Love the song.

  • Why are you comparing another artist to Tori Amos? That is ridiculous to even say. That's like saying, " oh, you are cute, but your sister is more of a pure beauty" Who the heck cares? Tori is original and she is who she is. She doesn't look for your approval, and I don't look for yours either I just think it is funny to compare her to Regina Vagina, who, very obviously came long after Tori in the evolution of music.

  • Apparently Mick Foley listened to this before he fought Orton at Backlash '04 and Edge at Wrestlemania 22....this is a really intense song, but I never thought of it as a "steeling yourself for battle" kind of thing. :O

  • Look, MILF is almost like MILK. THERE ARE MANY TYPES OF MILK FOR EVERY CREED OR LIFE WAY IN THIS WORLD. Tori wins

  • This song by Tori is excellent, but on balance I would prefer Regina Spektor's body of work. Regina is natural, not glamorous, but a superb song interpreter. Might be that I prefer the uptempo songs of Regina. Please give your raw vegetables a good vinegar bath before consuming or cooking, to reduce the chance of being infected by ecoli or other bacteria.

  • She is amazingly beautiful as well as a creativley gifted genius I simply adore her Her music sends a message and she does it so gracefully wish i could sing like her

  • This performance changed my whole life. Greatest thing ever!!!

  • Tori is a very good singer, but in my opinion, Regina Spektor is better, and more natural.

  • @VealParmigiana no way u baby calf eater! u need to get ur ear checked buddy

noone can ever top the Queen!!

  • I think shes a good lover

  • i love how she always has songs about her dad, i love her songs :D

  • Hihetetlen, amit Tori ezzel a hangszerrel művel! Komolyan őrület! Ha nem lennék még szerelmes belé, egyből beleesnék! SorrY! In english! Tori is my favourite voice! I'm love her! Ha valakinek mépg kérdése van, megtalál a bkd@citromail.hu msn-címen! Hozzáfűzöm: nem vagyok jó angolos! :)

  • The most beautiful description of the indescribable love between a father and a daughter. Sadly most of us don't appreciate him 'til he's gone. :(

  • The squeaky stuff is a matter of personal pref. I find her voice beautiful. 4 octave range? I think it's higher. but 4 is still higher than Tori as far I am concerned, and Kate also has incredible versatility in her voice. Tori also has, but not as much as Kate. Anyway, for me the proof that Kate's voice is/was more powerful is that I never had a problem singing Tori's songs. But some of Kate's are impossible. Not even Pat Benatar in her cover of Wuthering Heights could reach as high as Kate.

  • @peperes2

    Well, I can...

actually I could when I was younger...

  • she really likes scratching her pussy on these piano chairs :D but dam .. i love her music

  • she really likes scratching her pussy on these piano chairs :D but .. damn i like her ... in all the ways, especially like a singer and musician

  • I was wondering with my friend how can someone write such a great song? those emotions she has putt in this song its just amazing. and this song reminds of my mother that has passed away to early. she loved this song thanks tori.

  • just rest my head and lisen,,,nice!

  • you need to give her a break!! shes like totally ADHD and it so shows in her piano playing-probably why shes so good at it!

  • I think the host invaded her personal space and wanted to fuck her.

  • @myriamdske Kate Bush's whole career wouldn't add up to this song.

  • totally agree .

  • @th3wing3dpaint3r You don't know what you are talking about. I could list 100 reasons why Kate's work is greater than Tori's, but let me list the 3 strongest: 1) Tori is/was inspired by Kate 2) Kate's vocal range was superior, and perhaps still is. 3) Kate is transcendental in almost all of her work. Tori has some lame attempts for mainstream techno/pop songs, including her early work. Kate could not give a **** to the mainstream market.

  • @peperes2 "Kate could not give a **** to the mainstream market"

Kate Bush WAS mainstream. Kate Bush IS nothing now.

Please provide examples of when Tori attempted to go mainstream (which btw is much easier than doing what she does).

"Kate is transcendental in almost all of her work" Truer for Tori.

"Kate's vocal range was superior" Biased much? Kate was (and probably is) squeakier. That has nothing to do with being superior vocally :D

  • @peperes2 "Tori is/was inspired by Kate" That's on a personal level. Tori's music has nothing to do with Kate. Tori's music explores much more topics than Kate's career can handle.

And guess who rocks better on the piano? :D

If those are the "strongest reasons", i'm glad to tell you that your logic is absolutely flawed. Those are mostly opinions of a biased fan :)

  • @th3wing3dpaint3r It's not that my logic is flawed. You don't understand the points I made. Google is yo friend for proof. Kate supposedly had a 5-octave vocal range. Kate's independence from the mainstream speaks highly of the kind of artist she was. She sparked music category of its own that Tori inherited partially. Your rushed 3 replies prove that you are a fan and so I don't think you will accept anything I say. I used to be a fan, but I went beyond infatuation. I merely respect KT's work.

  • @peperes2 " Kate supposedly had a 5-octave vocal range" Actually, most sources say she has a 4 octave range. And that really has nothing to do with the tone of her voice. Which would still be squeaky if she had a 7 octave range.

"Your rushed 3 replies prove that you are a fan and so I don't think you will accept anything I say"

Actually, THEY don't "prove" anything :D my computer froze during the 1st reply. It didn't appear at first. So i posted a second.

  • Tori doesn't need drugs. She gets high by hanging with the fairies. No, really. Just ask her. :-) However weird you think she is, though, her music is often beautiful.

  • Gahabahahaghagaghaggg~

    *wipes his face*

Great song. That chair-love-making thing's been her thing, huh? So.

Who likes her current look? All straight and oval-ish.

  • This song is the most beautiful song in the world. To me, at least.

  • just divine.

  • check out those high-waisted jeans of the early 90's. i wonder if i still have a pair stuffed somewhere....

  • I love her so very much

  • very beautiful song

  • I think the guys at the beginning had no idea what they were in for!

  • In 1992 when I 1st heard this song. I was young and good looking like Tori. Now in 2009 things have changed so vast.

  • I admire your honesty, and like wise feel your pain. VIVA LA TORI!

  • I don't think she is being intentionally sexual in this piece. After all, she's singing about the relationship she had for her father--not exactly the sort of topic that should elicit a sexual response. I think what all of you are mistaking for sensuality is emotional intensity. Quite near the end, she slips a little bit, and almost brings herself to tears. It's clear that this song sits very close to her heart.

  • @landwherethenutsgrow

Even though she's talking about her dad there is clearly a sexual intention to it. Her dad is concerned because all the wild horses are still in bed, but soon things will change. And he wants her to love herself ( I suppose he means, look for a partner who is worthy )

  • @matzanrock I dont think he necessarily wants her to look for a partner who is worthy, but rather to not go looking for self esteem from an external source (how others see her) or love from others, and instead to learn to love herself and find self esteem and worth in herself. No one needs a partner, a partner should be additive, not definitive.

  • @landwherethenutsgrow Yeah, the girl can't help it if she's beautiful. I honestly think it is her sincerity in this song that turns people on, no kidding.

  • @landwherethenutsgrow yes, all women have a hard done by story, not many can put it into words, the way it is portrayed here. Very emotive and very emotional. A classic indeed, perhaps why is was never a hit, because who cares about the plight or whimpering s of a mere woman?.

  • @starquant You really think one gender has a monopoly on hardship? Or the fact that the world at large takes no notice? Life is hard, it'll leave you physically, mentally and emotionally scarred. And since suffering is ubiquitous, no one persons hurt is special, for the most part, unless you happen to be that one particular person. Life sucks and death is promised, let's all have a good cry about it. Hell, I'm a paraplegic, neurogenic pain all day long, so cry me a river while you're at it.

  • @BobbyIronsights Mate I have Fabry's, so go and get stuffed.

  • @starquant So.... You have Fabry's, what's your point? You've done nothing to back up your sexist bullshit, that women are particularly hard done by, or that Tori's music wasn't a hit, because she's a woman, also bullshit, because under the pink sold almost 2 million copies, not that it didn't deserve it. I also think it's ironic that you apparently have a disease that hits men much harder than women, according to the literature. P.S. Get stuffed yourself.

  • @BobbyIronsights my response was in relation to your comment... own it and don't blame me for your issues.

  • @BobbyIronsights sexist Bullshit, thats a larf, women get 85% of minimum wage and of that 90% are casual or part time. Go and SIT ON IT and I hope in YOUR next life you come back as a Woman. Better yet, I hope you come back as a WOMAN in AFGHANISTAN.

  • @starquant . In Canada, the average hourly wage for women is $21.33, for men, $24.81 and that gap is shrinking yearly. .....Either you live in a 3rd world shithole and should move and get a less insane religion,... or you actually live in a civilized part of the world and are making up figures to support more sexist bullshit, and are a part of the problem, not a part of the solution. So go kill yourself, and make the world a slightly better place.. ....Seriously, Kill Yourself.

  • @starquant And if you don't like it in Aus, move to the UK, where women are now starting to make more than men according to government statistics. (DIRECT QUOTE) The scale and direction of the gender pay gap varies according to age. For instance in the 22–29 age group, full-time women earned 2.1 per cent more than full-time men and part-time women earned 1.7 per cent more than part-time men.

  • @BobbyIronsights state the University or government dept, so I can look your stats up. The majority of the time... these are no factual. You make up stats to prove a point . I can tell you, that 80% of women earn min wage and of those 90% are on casual or part time work ( Source La Trobe University Melbourne 2010). Check those any time you like. They are REAL., and not some bullshit from YOUR HEAD in order to make yourself look larger than life.

  • @starquant BTW it was a WORLD WIDE STUDY, recognized by the UNITED NATIONS.

  • My favorite song by Tori Amos. everytime makes me sad.

    Fantastic!

  • awesome. this was my first glimpse of Tori. I remember being 11 and glued to my TV. My mom bought LE for me the next weekend. amazing.

  • one of the few performers who displays sexuality on stage and doesnt have a media PR unit behind her, telling her to

  • Too true.

  • A total genius!

  • I love that part where she says, "when you gonna make up your mind, when you gonna love you as much as I do."

It really reminds me of the relationship my father and I have. He's always telling me that I'm the most precious thing, or most beautiful thing etc. except my self-esteem is always doing 360's and confusing the crap out him.

I feel bad for my parents, I'm in my teen years so its expected.

    XD;

  • I love the opening notes... se perfect.

  • She's not really much of a performance artist... I'm referring to the "I'm making love to the bench" thing. But, damn, I love her music.

  • that was funny. Yeah, what's with the legs opening and closing. I agree that showing your sensuality is great but being so sexual isn't necessary but if that's what she's comfortable with, then it's her provocative. :). Maybe she's just intense. I don't agree if it's too entice even if you have to show some sexiness. I still think she is a fantastic artist and she will always be one of my favorites.

  • uhm well just so u guys know, she wrote a book and there's a really good explanation of everything she does and how she acts/feels in it.... u might wanna read it.(just a thought)

  • Yay! This was on the exact day of my birth! Assuming the date provided is correct, of course. Kind of odd to think the artist I love most now was singing when I was being born.

  • You're born on Christmas

  • Yeah..25/12/92...this is the exact date I was due to be born! But I was four days early. Anyway...beautiful music!

  • I wish Tori came along a few years later...I found out about her like five years ago and I'm 22. WAAAAA

  • god this makes my dad and me cry.....='(

  • hey im a heterosexual surfer dude from va beach, and im not ashamed to say i love tori amos and i think that this is one of her her best song, although i dont fully grasp what shes saying with this song...

  • Probably her best song of all time

  • she sounds so amazing just like Kate Bush.. has she ever did a duet with her?

  • She's really pretty and really good at singing, but did anyone notice her moving around in her seat a lot? I find it hard to watch her without noticing her moving around.

  • Mabye she has to pee. :)

  • ahahaha totally

  • Just so awesome, ho Tori...

  • in her element :)

  • tikiuosi soksi taip visada. mes taves nepamirsim!!!! <333

  • tu labai graziai soki ;]

  • she is sooooo beautiful!

  • This song is simply awesome.

  • omg that final chorus is always so moving.

During this video I was on the verge of tears.

To be honest the only time I cried to a live performance

was when she did Almost Rosey when I saw in Portland

last year. I am sure someone is going to make fun of me

for saying that, but it was just so moving.

to me her work is powerful.

  • As far as negative comments go, Tori is an artist not a singer. Whats fun with her live, is how she close to never sings a song the same way twice!

  • Evidently morality or a life of good works counts for little and the strong and often hidden influences of nature and nature are discounted by Jesus (who by the way apparently knew nothing about science, bacteria, stopping illness and knew less about many topics then the does today's average 9-year old).

  • i want to learn this song!

  • Where is this Tori?

    I miss her.

  • She is all grown up now...I don't mind that she's grown up because I found an artist that reminds me so much of this Tori...

    TORI STILL ROX 4 EVER

  • TORI TORI TORI ♥♥

what have you done to your face, though? :(

  • Yea.This Tori is gone :(

I wished she would come back..

  • She's born in the year of the bunny! She's so sweet!

  • i love you

  • huba fucking huba

  • she sings what she feels luv her

  • Fabulous! She makes love to that piano. If only I were so lucky! Damn she is seductive. Any woman who can play piano and sing like this can gladly be my ruler!

  • she has so much soul

  • why is she fidgeting in the chair? o_O

  • She is really into her music is why

  • so she doent fall off

  • Sexy. As hell.

  • that was on christmas :O

  • like her look at 03.25 is she singing to someone particular from the audience?

  • call it musical expression mark

  • this. is. so. beautiful. beyond words.

    <3

  • No dipshit.

She's just that into her music.

  • tori amos is talented and sexy as hell. I dig all of her shit.

  • One of saddest songs of hers, I think... I love it even more when it's just her on the piano singing it just like that...

  • i came accross this song by accident whilst searching the net,,and i listened to it,,it made me cry,,,i had never heard of tori amos,, what a beautiful song....

  • Glad you discovered it. It is perhaps the most emotional song ever. I have very strong memories form it. I was living in a caravan at the time, alcoholic and lonely (sober 7 years now)!! Reminds me of a woman I used to LOVE, she could play this on the piano. I wish I knew where she was, as I would like to apologise to her. Always make me cry.

  • ive seen her playing this life in amsterdam. can't help but cry

  • haha lol

    MILF :D

  • The "little heartquakes", was the first CD I bought of her, maybe 10 years ago, it worth every penny...

  • (*cough* earthquakes not heartquakes *cough*)

  • yea!

  • One of her best songs ever

  • thank you :)

  • Fabulous. Just beautiful.

  • This song is the epitome of all that is beautiful and sad while growing up. As a child and as an adult.
