You know... This whole damn video is extremely awesome, but I have to say that I was PARTICULARLY entertained by Gambit throwing cards to the beat of his second stage. It really was! And that ALONE is reason enough for me to want to Like this thing five times over.
@JosephCollins Thanks! I knew going into that level that I could use the cards to make snare drum noises, but imagine my surprise when I learned that the block explosions sounded a little like a bass drum as well! Other highlights from this level include dancing inside of a wall at 19:09, the tile corruption at 19:27, and the boss fight at 20:26 (A camera hacked version of this fight can be found at ?v=tnfw-sFo3uc).
I don't know much about Spider-Man other than the cartoons and movies, so can someone more familiar with his powers tell me if his Spider Sense helps him find stuff as opposed to simply warning him of impending danger?
@TriggerheartExcelica I mean, they are definitely exaggerating his abilities, but if he can sense danger, it'd logically follow that he can find it, too. The items in the first stage are bombs, so those are certainly dangerous.
I recently uploaded a playthrough of this for this group channel's completion (Non-TAS, played on the console). I thought it was a somewhat impressive playthrough, as I never took any damage.
But then I saw this. Even though it's a TAS, I'm still really, really impressed with this. I did some head banging at one point in Gambit's second stage myself but your version of it makes it look like crap. Rofl.
Yeah I don't feel bad. I'm more of a completionist player than a speed runner though I still try to keep moving in a game without stopping if possible.
Also wasted a lot of time on Juggernaut. I knew he could only die at the second pillar, but I didn't know he had so little health. Would've made it a bit less stressful on the "Try not to take any damage" part. Wouldn't have bothered me too much if I did take a hit though. Game is a pain in the ass.
I found this game in my roms about a year ago and tried to play it. I'm just going to say that you must like pain and suffering to even play this thing, let alone sit through a zillion rewinds to play it with perfection. Nice job!
What if no one knows that you are lying? Being fair will always lead you to the shittiest situations. For example you must lie to your teacher that you haven't come to school because you were sick. If you'll tell that you're lazy you'd be fucked even more. Also note that this is an Internet. You can be anything you want and create your personality the way you want to.
@RUL1S88 I want to create my internet personality as an honest person who doesn't post obvious TASes as speedruns in an attempt to look superhuman. That would just be pathetic.
I've never played this game--likely cause I saw the LJN logo on the box and thus never rented it. Is that his spider sense making all that noise or "ALERT: FIND A TOILET IMMEDIATELY!"? And seeing his running animation only enforced that suspicion further.
Spidey's unforgiving curse of the squirts aside, damn nice run!
Awesome work. I also agree, autoscrolling stage was very well done.
Lmao @ the ending. I had this game when I was a kid and it kicked my ass consistently. Kinda glad to know I didn't miss anything by never completing it. =D
17:11 on through 20:45 is one of the most amazing autoscrolls I have ever seen. This is a great run overall, really.

Dude this is the worst TAS I've ever seen. It doesn't match any of the greatness of MY RUNS. So PWNED. :P
Great run.

Why do you call it TAS? Change title to "Speedrun" and you'll get much more respect.

That's why some people can never be successful. You're not thinking to cheat up some things to achieve something big.
