Just my thought, the jumping, turning and ledge-grabbing mechanics seem to be the EXACT same! It's like Oddworld was just this game with some make-up.

it said "state 0 saved", i have an emulator on my computer that looks just like that, i'm not sure if it's exactly the same though. he probably just used a screen recorder

Judging from the "State 0 saved" message and the giant header with the fraps web address on the top of the screen, this was recorded using FRAPS on the PC and Flashback on an Emulator such as SNES9X or ZSNES.

That's exactly what I thought at first. But there's a difference: OddWorld sucked dick and made absolutely no sense. At least in this game there are no unsolvable puzzles and you can defend yourself.

True, but Flashback basically stole 75% of the basic game mechanics from Prince of Persia. That doesn't make it any less awesome, though. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Prince of Persia started it, Flashback sharpened it and Abe's Odyssey just about perfected it... and somewhere in there is Heart of Darkness, which is a pretty nifty game in its own right.
