Hello, im new to this and i been trying to read a lot. but still dont know which eyepieces you guys recomend for what i just bought.
i got a 150mm ioptron 6" 1400 focallenght. wondering which barlows and eyepieces are recomended. i was thinking in the celestron kit EP and filters or some Agena eyepieces 4mm 6mm 8mm and a 2.5x apochromatic barlow and some filters, any advice would help a lot ! thank you.
im also thinking of stepping up to a 6 newt i have a 12 f6 parks mirror but its to costly to build into a polar mounted scope i cant afford it is it possible to send avi files to another person i would love to process a file of jupe from a larger scope i can send you my email address
Cant wait till i can get my telescope, i saw a 150/750 GSO scope on a Celestron ADM mount. I will mostly just use it to see planets because thats where my interrests lay. Great vid!
Well, I have no longer that AVI file, I had to delete it cause my hard disc is nearly full...sorry :( But you can check out the final image on the link
Hey, i want to buy my first telescope and i was thinking of this one: SkyView Pro 120mm EQ Refractor. It has 120mm lens and 1000mm focal length f/8.3. Is this a good telescope or would you recommend a reflector or something else?
Personally i think you´ll be better with a newtonian on the 150 / 200 mm range, the 150mm f/8 Orion or Sky Watcher version is an excelent choice for planetary observation, the optical quality is near excelent, and 150 mm aperture will show you a great dealof detail on the planets, you your thinking is deep sky then go for at least 200mm;)
I'll buy a Newton 200/1200 but I really don't know what I'll be able to see with that kind of telescope. Then I've a question: does this video exactly reflect what we can see through the oculars of your telescope, or does using a cam make the image better?
I also have a 200/1200 newtonian and it's a great all round scope, in nights of good seeing it delivers very good images of Jupiter, it shows more thatn you can see here in teh video, nothing like the human eye to see fine detail ;)
This is soooo awesome! I love it! I got the chance to see 3 of jupiter's moons!!! well they were tiny, but it was cool! did you make your telescope? If you bought it, what kind do you have?

dude. thanks for this video. have been trying to talk myself into buying a 6" refractor.. this might have sealed the deal. how does the size here compare to what your eyes see?
If you know your way around it's easy, if not try to download a planetarium for ex, "stelarium" it's for free and it's extremely realistic, you'll like it ;)
That way after you see where they are in the computer screen, go outside and see for your self.
How can the telescope be so steady?

I have just received a 130mm Celestron Newt reflector scope.
I have looked at Jupiter with the 10mm eyepiece and this gives a 65X magnification.
It was a lot smaller than this and I could only just make out its colors.
Could you give me an idea of the magnification for this shot.

does the telescope track the planet itself, or we need some other tool to do this work?

This is very nice for a 150mm lens if you ask me!

pdidi1 outstanding film of the Jovian giant! I would say it is better than 99.99% better than all the vids I have seen with 10" telescopes.

marcioaguiar1985 2 years ago
well it looks like thru a 10 inch newton or dobson to me.

Hi,
Trust me, it was made with a 6" Sky Watcher achromatic refractor using a Chromacor.
Cheers
pdidi1 2 years ago
would u be able to get the same result if you had a 5" reflector?
sammylojax 1 year ago
@markuslebt It's because a refractor has much less false coloring and more sharpness.

Very good imaging for a 150mm, good contrast too. Did you stack the video frames to make a picture? It should look much better than the video image.
