This should be released on DVD for Carreras's 65th birthday...but as far as I know, it's not going to. Oh, well.

From buying CDs of Jose Carreras it seems that he sings in every language. I heard him singing Italian opera before I ever heard him speak anything. As far as I know he speaks Catalan, Spanish, Italian, English and French but I have heard him sing in Maori, Chinese, Japanese, German etc.

A pity Gayarre had to change his name to Giuliano to sing in Italy and then be snubbed by La Scala.

And here he is also an actor. What can’t he do?

Ironically, hearing Jose Carreras speak Spanish (or Catalan) is pretty rare for me. The first language I heard him speak was English (which he's excellent at, by the way).
