  • This is my least favorite song from this movie

  • @LadyLocaG Same. We're watching this in Choir. We cracked up at this part, and mimicked her. We're very immature. We just laughed because of how she ran like a ninja. >_<

  • This song is absolutely beautiful! :) Her voice is simply amazing!

  • When I was little, my family and I used to go to our friends house in the country (We live in the city), on the road I'd always want them to play this OST while on the road. I wish I lived in the country, to hear the hills, and when I'm lonely, I could go to the mountains. <3

  • Julie Andrews :D xD she lost her lovely voice :((( I love her

  • sigh... what happened to our music? its become so... unpure. It's not like before..

  • Very sincere though thoroughly corny lyrics; that's Oscar Hammerstein for you.

Still, if Lorenz Hart was still alive, they would have made something more along the lines of "Cabaret;" it simply wouldn't have been the same.

  • 5 dislikes...?! 5 people must be tone deaf.

  • @ph34rmaster04 6 now! :o

  • @ph34rmaster04 Seven now. What is the world coming to? -_-

  • Absolutely breathtaking & hopeful!

  • Music like this leaves me breathless with its debilitating strength. Music like this derives no where but from Heaven. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL <3.... Thank you so much and God bless you for sharing this hunny

  • I love this musical. This song especially. I get the songs stuck in my head randomly (:

  • <3

  • we are singing this in choir!

  • there's something, but I dont know what, that makes this song so magical.

  • I got the privilage to journey through the mountains where this scene was filmed this summer and Ive never experienced something so beautiful! ♥

  • @ArtLovedHeart LUCKY! I wish I could do that... *jealous*

  • @ArtLovedHeart My dad has seen them, but it was while changing trains, so he didn't have long to do much sight seeing. He said they are quite beautiful though. In 2008 I went to Vienna, but didn't end up going to Salzburg. I would have loved to see places where this was filmed.

  • shane dawson sent me here! :D

  • Far better than Moulin Rouge!

  • iiiii looooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this SONG THE HILLLLLLSS ALIVE

  • Im auditioning for the Sound of Music soon, I'm so excited but I don't know if I will be able to pull her off!

  • .....shane dawson brought me here XDDD "600,250,000,500 There are now that many flavors of yogurt here so WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU SINGING ABOUT?!?! xD"

  • @xXkookieatzcloudzXx he was singing seasons of love from rent.

  • @xXkookieatzcloudzXx OMMMMG SAMEE!!!!!

  • 'And I'll sing once more..' I hope she does..

  • Why do I have a strange feeling with how screwed up hollywood is these days they will remake this film with Miley Cyrus and one of the Jona brothers....

  • @nostalgiatrip1: OH GOD. That would be horrible.

  • @nostalgiatrip1 No! Do NOT give those money-grubbing corporations any ideas!

  • What depresses me the most is that I know she can't sing like this ever again.

  • I am Austrian and I am hearing this song for the first time in my life. Us Austrians actually do not know about this whole euphoria, nostalgia and all those other feelings this movie and its songs evoke. High school music teachers tell their pupils about The Sound of Music as if it was foreign culture.

  • @iDave22 Last year,my music teacher gave us snuggies, and put us on couch coushins and we watched the movie..

  • @iDave22 I'm from Austria as well and it's the same for me. I first heard this song in the movie Moulin Rougeau when Ewan McGregor sang the first bits. I never knew it's from The Sound of Music till much later.

When an Austrian hears "Sound of Music" he usually thinks of the song by Falco.

  • Happy day of music, everyone.

  • The hills are alive! With the sound of CHAMON!

  • SHANE DAWSON

  • <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • i sang this as a solo for solo fest today :D

  • SO WONDERFUL VOICE

  • Lol, all of you just shut up and enjoy the song, geez.

  • thumbs up if you looked this up because of shane dawsonn. haha

  • Talent can be with one at birth, and it can also be earned

  • In the 50s, this song was stuck in people's heads.

  • are these the same hills that have eyes

  • I'm probably the youngest listener of this song! I don't care though . . .

  • This song tells me about the possibility of everlasting joy in a future spiritual life.

  • to anyone who know's miss grace sison the only daughter of the late dr sison from sampaloc manila before ....pls rely my wanting to hear or to see her again my long lost childhood best friend ....thanks she is now living in new zealand i think....i hope that i can hear from her again love you best...thanks...

  • This song brings back memories of my childhood. This was pure beauty, not the Jersey Shore we have now.

  • @barbii3dollx3 took the words out of my mouth!

  • @MsHahanot Seriously!!!

  • @barbii3dollx3 I agree.

  • @barbii3dollx3 I completely agree, and I'm a 17 year old male! This is one of the films from my childhood.

  • no dislikes. the beauty of this song

  • @JoshyHan1997 I think someone disliked just to prove you wrong. Continues to prove.

  • thank You, Lord for touching my heart with the beauty of this music!

  • @PraiseHolyTrinity God didn't give them their talents, they earned it through hard work. God didn't touch your heart, they did, not to start a religious discussion or anything.

  • @rangerklypf

You cannot "earn" talent. You either have it or you don't, and it is a God-given gift.

  • @tinmanluver35 About 5 years ago, I was a horrible french horn player, next to no talent. 5 years later I'm actually decent, if I had the talent 5 years ago, I would've been decent then, and if I didn't have it and couldn't get it, I'd still suck now.

  • @rangerklypf

I didn't say having no talent would make you completely incompetent. Sure, people with no talent can train themselves to do things to a certain extent. But being so good that you are internationally famous; that is something you can't do without God-given talent. And as far as I know, you are not a world famous musician like Ms. Andrews.

  • @tinmanluver35 Who the fuck is god? And since when were you an expert on subjects like skills, talent, and becoming a leader in a specific area.

Besides, everyone is a genius at something, but if you judge a fish on it's ability to walk....

  • @tinmanluver35 Says who? You can't just make shit up man, we'll never know what to believe.

  • @Seraph821

I do not make anything up. The stuff that I talk about I deduce from reading the Bible. Of course I could be wrong, but I am only sharing what I believe. ;)

  • @PraiseHolyTrinity Amen.^-^

  • Thanks be to God for this sweet sweet song it is beautiful.

  • Thanks! <3

  • Thanx, a classic i saw light yrs ago and still love many beautiful songs fr it.

  • wonderful!
